I've been listening to Gareth Emery for years, the awesome album of Northern Lights, one of the amazing and favorite tracks for me is been "Too Dark Tonight" with the beautiful voice of Roxanne Emery and after years of it, they come back with this amazingly beautiful track... I guess there are just 2 layers- one with the original vocal with reverb and delay and the other is just heavy vocoder with a lot of reverb on it and low pass filtered

People have a knee-jerk reaction to autotune and vocoding due to its horrendous abuse in mainstream music to fabricate vocal sections for artists that cannot sing, but this is obviously not the case here. There is room for tasteful, artistic use of these tools in this genre, and I think this is a good example (despite how much I love Roxanne's vocals without effects). Don't forget that Chicane did this with "What Am I Doing Here" ...and that's the vocal trance track of the century IMO.
