Great flying guy's, it's not easy filming aircraft in the sky. it brings back wonderful memories, we used to have a glider, but i crashed it too many times, we often watch RC Aircraft at a local club near us. Hi Gareth, similar model to my Calypso, nice, did I see you launch motor off and then power up? That's something I've never considered, if you did not a bad idea, those props can be vicious 🙂 Newly subbed by the way, recommendation from Jerry on RC Taildraggin 👍

hello cliff thank you for stopping by.. yes I mostly throw the glider with no power for 2 reasons.. if it’s windy I like to see if the wind can carry it and also I like to check to make sure the model is flying ok before power goes on as it’s close to the ground if I need to abandon the flight the outcome is not too bad also I have had a folding prop shatter on me as I powered up before launching and since that I’m always thinking of that moment before I launch it

Hello yes that’s a DLG glider they have no motor and rely on thermals to keep it up over here we are too cold for thermals thank you for watching
