There's more to the HP stat then just pumping points into it. Odd numbers are always better for rounding this will apply to all damage over time. It will also let berries active at half hp after using belly drum. Also if the Pokemon has an HP stat of at least 100 you can have a total over 401 to ensure Blissey/Chansey don't break your sub with seismic toss. This only applies in Smogon singles when playing at level 100. There's a few more things but that's probably a big enough info dump lol. Good luck with your games :)

To add to what was said above me a bit, generally the *only* time you actually want an even HP stat--at least in Singles--if you're going to bother touching HP at all is if you're using a (Sitrus) Berry mon. This is especially true with the few Belly Drum mons that exist, especially Slurpuff since not activating Unburden means your poor little cupcake dog probably gets exploded the next turn. Otherwise you generally want odd HP whenever possible as already said since that rounds down hazard damage too, which is still important for every non-Magic Guard mon even with Heavy-Duty Boots existing since Knock Off unfortunately still exists in its overbuffed form. (Except for Weavile and for Bisharp, ha.)

Salt Cure is a cool move, and to pair it with Soak is big brain. Not going to win you a lot of matches, but looks fun to use. I want to use a tera ghost Garganacl with Salt Cure and Curse. Probably trash, but that's part of the fun of pokemon(IMO). Great video, very entertaining like always! Side note: My friend walked by just as the "my dick fell off!" played lol. Had fun explaining that.

I don't really get team sheets for anything besides knowing tera. To me most of the skill of comp comes from anticipating and playing around potential sets. If your opponent revealed Mon 1 was running this set, then Mon 2 is more likely to run that set, etc.

It's to prevent scouting in real life tournaments, and smogon has to implement that on showdown because it's an official feature for the official format (VGC).

You probably get a lot of team suggestions, but I tried to build a team around Glaceon/Slowking utilising trick room and chilly reception to set up snow. The game plan was then to bring in Stonjourner when Slowking switched out for the power spot boost for big damage blizzards. I had some reasonable success with the team but it definitely had a lot of weaknesses. I'd be curious to see if you could do it better, assuming the team sounded fun to play! Either way, keep up the great work, love your content

eiscue is one of my favorite gen 8 pokemon. a lot of people see belly drum and think "oh there it is" but in singles it's actually a lot more interesting with weather ball on sun, having ice and fire coverage that hit gen 8 OU staples surprisingly hard. love to see its support capabilities on display as well, especially with the snow buff

I love these ideas! I definitely forgot Eiscue got Soak. I'm cooking a new team that just ISN'T working. Olive thing has harvest. Basically sunny day and teatime from ally gets starf berry boost. Ideally you'd just keep getting random stats but the only good thing to come out of it. Was figuring out Eject pack pepper thing to get a nuke overheat/leafstorm pivot

The man, the Legend, the Myth, who had a shiny, and therefore yellow arcanine, and in a completely original and downright genius stroke of what could only be comedic inspiration, decided to call him "Piss". PISS!!! You see, the average colour of human urine is yellowish in colour (depending on hydration in an healthy person it can go from transparent to amber), and therefore he implies that the arcanine is made of (or covered in) Piss, because he too is yellow. As we all know, urine is one of (if not the most) fun of all human body fluids, bringing therefore much enjoyement to everyone. What a great mind. What an absolute brilliant mind. Hope Weedle will be more mindful to underline it next time he comes across such brilliance.

Yes!! I love running eiscue on doubles with abomasnow, its my go-to "piss people off" setup with a cloyster and azumarill as my other two. Nobody ever expects it and so many people straight up have no idea how eiscues ability works. Ill go 5 matches with people who couldve beat me easy not understanding that physical attacks dont hit w ice face. Eiscue is my favorite mon (i own every produced plush of it) and it lowkey annoys me to see smogen just write it off. Every pokemon is viable! Especially eiscue if your goal is just to stall and piss people off❤️
