Examples of why Lt. Marion Cobretti aka Cobra is such a badass: - You're suppose to place your car keys in the same place every time you return home. Cobra just tosses his keys anywhere. - Cobra doesn't wash his hands before eating. - Cobra walks and runs, all while wearing a leather jacket and leather gloves (80-90° weather). - Cobra is too cool to remove his sunglasses while indoors. - Cobra is single because he's too badass to fall in love. - Cobra orders out because, again, Cobra is too badass to cook. - Cobra cuts his food with scissors. - Cobra drives a super-duper muscle car. - Cobra keeps a matchstick in his mouth. - Cobra doesn't call his mom. Not ever. - Cobra doesn't wear an undershirt. - Cobra doesn't wear a gun holster. He just tucks his "piece" in his pants. - Cobra doesn't bathe or shower. - Cobra doesn't deal with psychos, he puts them away.

Cobretti was so into healthy food the pizza must have been his cheat meal for the week. As well as a few sips of coors saving the day at the Supermarket. 😂 I'm not sure what the cutting the pizza with scissors was supposed to convey....probably that he was a bachelor who didn't need to do things the proper way or play by the rules because he lived alone. As he told his love interest later in the film "not many people could put up with the way I live". Sly wrote Cobra he must have been on a real health food kick around this time when he had some of his best physiques. He banters with his partner about their diets quite a bit and a lot of the quote unquote "jokes" are about food. Great flick. One of my faves and best late night B action movies to flip on when you don't know what else to watch.

At a noodle bar I once ordered from, I ordered a Chicken Katsu noodle box. The girl who took my order picked up a noodle box, put the noodles in there, then took a hot breaded flat chicken breast and held it for a moment while she reached out for something to cut it with. She then grabbed a pair of scissors and cut the breast into strips with it onto the noodles, then covered it with a massive spoon of hot curry sauce. I had never seen that before and it took me back to this scene. I can only assume that pair of scissors was strictly for food use.

The 22-year-old victim was mutilated with a sharp instrument and seem to be just as unlikely a victim as the other 15th. Not much else is known. Other than that, the Night Slasher prays upon anyone. His victims have included businessmen, Asian immigrants, the elderly and in one case: a sexually assaulted child. The serial killer has thrown the city into a growing panic, and up until now, no one has had a clue to his identity. The killer has been known to crawl through windows, cut telephone wires and kill the victims in their sleep. A method of death has been mainly silent instruments such as claw hammers, knives and axes.”

What's up w/the newspaper in the grill ? Anyone?

Possibly fire starting material for the fiesta on the weekend. Carne asada, grilled peppers and jarritas to wash it down.

Watching this on Christmas and cleaning my Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 70 45 Caliber with Cobra grips and eating pizza to boot just like Cobra.

Is it the old mines with the drilled out trigger or the recent production with the 3 hole triggers?

I just wanted to verify if he has 2 guns bc @ 00:40 he sets his custom firearm on the table, yet @ 1:10 he unholsters another one? From the same location as the previous one?

Also the lubricant he took out from the egg carton is back inside in the next scene 🤣 (in all honesty the just adds to the badassery

That was also very unique for the time . Today all kinds of companies make 1911's in 9mm . Back then it was very rare to see a 9mm in that design .

To this day, I still turn on my TV like that. Also, now that I’m a gun owner. I clean my gun the same way too.

Only Stallone could have gotten this movie “across” like he did. A huge star with a number of blockbusters to his credit gave him clout to play this character in this hyper-masculine, idiosyncratic manner in the way he did. This movie is art in a way most Hollywood “Prestige Films” only wish they could be. Can you imagine Meryl Streep doing anything but lowering the quality of this film? Unless of course Streep had been the poor lady who got her car bumped into and knifed…I’d have enjoyed that a lot lol.
