Hi tiki, thanks for all the great information. I am a ball python owner and I love reptails. I am research gargoyle geckos and considering adopting one in the future. I was wondering what type of insects do they eat?
@bobbycxx5058 жыл бұрын

It’s so clear to see that you guys are very passionate about these animals! I just got my first gargoyle and I was very nervous about keeping him. But after reading a few articles, speaking to friends who own crested and gargoyles, and watching this video. I now feel a lot more confident about his care :)

I know this video is a little older but it was really helpful! A month ago I thought I wasn't into reptiles and would never have any... 😂 I just got my first leopard gecko and I'm already planning for my next gecko to be a crested or gargoyle. Learning all I can and prepare g before I attend my first reptile show for my birthday this summer and probably get my next gecko! The info in this video is really solid. I love when I can tell peoole are really passionate about what they're teaching, and you guys definitely are.

Hey I just got a gargoyle gecko. It started to turn a little bit more gray today. Is this normal? She still seems active and ate a little bit today, and humidity has been at a good level. Is there a normal cycle where they change colors?

can females be housed together?
@gregsmegkregtv14597 жыл бұрын
also what type of substrate is needed for them?
@alexander.adamez7 жыл бұрын
gregsmegcreg tv Use 2-3" (5-8 cm) of coconut fiber, reptile bark, or moss for the best of your reptile. EDIT: The coconut fiber is found in brick like packaging. Coconut Fiber is highly recommended becuz it helps keeps the humidity around 70 - 80.

HELP!!!! Question guys. I’m a newbie. I keep my house at 62-65 F during winter. I know you said light and heat are not necessary but I’m thinking that I will need some sort of heat source. Can you recommend what I should do? Thanks guys and y’all are da Bomb!

Uv light will raise the temp a little if that’s not enough a halogen light will be enough. Both will need a temp probe set to the correct temp

Hiii, so I have a gargoyle gecko and I’ve recently been struggling with how to prevent mold in her enclosure. I have a wood hide for her but I took it out because of the mold. She is a juvenile and I currently have her in an 18x18x24 exo terra. (Yes even though she is small she finds her food and she loooooves all of the space and uses all of it) I have to mist her ofc and I want to know if there is anyway to remove the mold off of the hide, or if there is a way to prevent it. If I can’t prevent it I’ll buy a plastic hide and clean the one I have and save it if I buy it for a leopard gecko. Posting this on multiple channels to get as much advice as I can:)
@kikitootsie2 жыл бұрын
Make sure your enclosure has a time in the day where it isn’t wet. It should go through some dry periods, spray once per day. That might help. You can put the decorations with mild in hot water too. Humidity should still be 60-80%, no less than 40%.

I just got a baby Gargoyle gecko and he's quite jumpy when i handle him is that normal?
@PredictableEnigma5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Fish swim, birds fly, geckos jump. Unless it is a terresrial kind like a leopord gecko that lives in the desert and doesn't climb or jump like all the aboreal tree dwelling rainforest geckos

I know I am late but I need some help. I have an 8 month old gargoyle gecko. I offer her ( I like to think its a girl even though I have no proof yet) food every night, and sometimes she eats it on her own, and sometimes I feed it to her out of concern of nutrition and health. I keep the temp at about 75-78 in the day and 71-69 at night. I know she can eat the pangea on her own, but she hasn't grown any heavier in the last month and a half. I have her in a 12 gallon leopard gecko cage with plants and hides and four different food sources, At night she is alert and I can hear her going about the cage making noise. I guess my concern is that she isn't growing. She's only grown about a half gram in the the three months that I've had her. Any advice?
@lillianizzabelle10455 жыл бұрын
a 12g is way to small. Is your humidity up?

I just bought a gargoyle gecko and have had it for two weeks. When can I start holding it? The guy I bought it from says to wait three weeks but I wanted to know if I could just wait two and a half weeks??? Please respond!!
@alexander.adamez7 жыл бұрын
Karla Aguilar It is highly recommended that you make sure your Gecko is healthy as can be. Handling too soon can cause a lot of stress. ( I wanted to do the same when I fist got mine :] ) If your Gecko has found its wait around and is comfortable, you can start. As soon as 2 weeks.
@sassylilmama3136 жыл бұрын
I'd wait the recommended three weeks.
@jessicarose68696 жыл бұрын
