That's not a double down on garlic, that's a triple down! And I'm here for it! What a fantastic idea for a teppanyaki dish. It looks just amazing Marc! The texture must be so creamy with the addition of that garlic butter. Beautifully done!

Hahaha thanks Susan! I probably spent an hour having an internal debate about this. On one had it is technically 3 components, but two of the components (garlic oil and garlic chips) are made in the same step, so I thought it was kinda cheating to call it a triple. 😆

Thank you so much for all these videos! I grew up and lived in japan for most my life but recently moved to work in america. Whenever im feeling homesick I watch your videos and prepare some authentic japanese food. The restraunts here dont make it like they do back in Japan. Your videos have helped me immensly. I never knew how much japanese food meant to me until i moved away from the country. Thank you.

Thanks Ron! A blackstone, is basically a teppan, so try it out😉 At the teppanyaki joints here, they use the beef fat from frying a wagyu steak to make the garlic chips and then that kets worked into the rice.

Thanks Larry! Leftover rice that's gotten hard in the fridge is perfect for fried rice and after it's been reheated like this it will soften again.

Love all the Pro Tips here! I'm not eating many carbs right now, but I may apply these tips to a veggie dish. Maybe they will make riced cauliflower actually palatable! (An impossible task😏). Such a simple dish, but you really elevated it!
@NoRecipes2 жыл бұрын
I'm not such a big fan of riced cauliflower, but if I were going to make it, I'd probably rice and deep fry it to the bits some Maillard browning and make them a little more chewy. That would probably negate any calorie benefits of eating it in the first place though so maybe try and stir-fry and brown the riced raw cauliflower in garlic oil (you'll probably still want to increase the amount of oil).
@kathcares2 жыл бұрын
@@NoRecipes Yeah, I think it would take a miracle to make that stuff taste good. It may be beyond even you considerable skills!😅 I love cauliflower, and I would probably just stir fry small florets in the garlic oil until golden, then add the soy sauce and garlic butter. I just love messing with your recipes! That soy sauce trick is something I've always wondered about. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. It's in the details. It's like learning trade secrets!🤫

Can I use a different oil than vegetable, like Avocado without ruining the recipe (taste)? Also thanks in advance for this recipe. I am going to make this as soon as possible. I love rice and I love garlic so this looks absolutely delicious.

Hi XAEL, "vegetable oil" just means any neutral flavor oil made from vegetables avocado oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, rice bran oil, are all vegetable oils. Hope that helps!

Hi question what's teppanyaki means? Looks yummy 😋
@NoRecipes Жыл бұрын
"Teppan" literally means "iron slab", and "yaki" is a word that's used to describe any kind of high temperature cooking (such as pan-frying, roasting, stir-frying, grilling, griddling, searing, etc). So it translates to roughly "cook at high temperature on an iron slab".
