Updated comment: never mind, she said she “melted” the garlic and butter together, I’m going to assume that means she cooked the raw garlic a little. Original comment: Did you not cook the garlic you shredded towards the end? I was totally expecting you to cook the garlic and butter mixture at the end, just lightly, so that raw garlic taste would get out, and then sprinkle in the parsley, and brush the rolls at the end, also not as important but, before throwing the rolls into the oven, brush with a “egg wash” *basically beaten egg* and the rolls should get a really good golden color

yes, I melted the butter and garlic together. I agree that the rolls could've gotten a nice golden color with the egg wash but its optional.
