My 1450LMT doesn’t have it. The junction view button is still there but it is grayed out. My 2555LMT and 765T still have it though.

I wasn't sure about the 25x5 or the older 7x5 (and probably 8x5), so that's good to know. And if the 1450 doesn't have JCV any longer, that most likely means all 13xx and 14xx models don't have it either.

I just found my nu I 50LM which is about 13 yrs and old Bought a micro SD card and updated to this. MY daughter just bought a new townhouse in Pa. This is an entirely new area with rows of townhouses. Yes her new address is in there. This area is only about 3 months old. Happy and Thanks. Also, bought my wife a new Drivesmart 66 for her car.

after doing some internet research regarding this junction view issue, I was successful in locating and able to download and install onto my nuvi 1450lmt the large junction view file 2025.20 version from poi factory. my nuvi 1450 now has junction view as it had before the newest garmin map version.

Definitely confirmed on my personal unit... Garmin 50LM has lost the junction view JCV file with the latest 2025 update. Kinda sad to see it go, but the advantage is worth it with very "upgraded" map details. 👍

It kinda makes me wonder though, if my Garmin, whatever LM model, was sold with the JCV feature and I bought it maybe with that feature in mind, then when I update the maps using the LM that I paid for it needs to have the JCV also if it was advertised by Garmin that it had that particular feature...there's no if's and's or but's, it has to retain that feature. If it's deleted by Garmin from further map updates then is Garmin playing games with us??...doesn't give me much faith in that company as a whole.

Have you ever had the map update fail using Garmin express? Last 2 times I’ve tried to update my 2699 it will get stuck at around 72% when “copying files”. Any tips for fixing this?

Yes. This is what you can do about it to fix the problem from easy-to-difficult. You can try each one by one until one of them works: A (easy): Change the USB cable and the USB port you use on your computer, try map installation again. B (easy): If a microSD card is present, get a new 32GB microSD memory card, click it in to the bottom of the 2699, try map installation again. C (somewhat difficult): Turn on 2699, press Volume on "Where To?" screen, press and hold top left of screen until "Diagnostics Page" appears, then "Configuration and Settings", then "MTP Settings", select "Mass Storage", Save, back, back, back, press and hold power button until "Turn off the device?" appears, press Off. Try map installation again. D (difficult): If a microSD card is not present, get a new 32GB microSD memory card, click it into the 2699. Set the 2699 to "Mass Storage" described above and power off. Plug 2699 into computer. Go to Windows Explorer. If using Windows 10 (I don't know Windows 11), set file extensions to view by clicking "View" then "File Name Extensions". Look for "Garmin nuvi" drive letter ("Mass Storage" on nuvi must have been set previously to see this). If for example the drive letter is F, go to address bar of Windows Explorer and manually type F:\.System (yes the dot must be present) followed by Enter. Find the file gmapprom.img and rename to gmapprom.old. Disconnect 2699 from PC, reconnect, try map installation again. Remember that 32GB microSD card must be present in the 2699. E (very difficult): If you've done all the above and it still didn't work, this is the final and most drastic step. Force re-download the map data into Garmin Express. Uninstall Garmin Express first. Go to Windows Explorer, manually type C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Map and press Enter. If in the USA, look for Map_Map.NA.2025.20 and if present, delete the folder. Reinstall Garmin Express, plug in your 2699 to add to Garmin Express, try map installation again.

@ I actually got it resolved and it was fairly simple. I was using the same sd card that I used previously for a 2023 map update and it worked fine. But I decided to try reformatting the card anyway. An article in Garmin support said to set the “allocation unit size” to default when formatting, so that’s what I did. After reformatting the card, I ran the update again and it installed perfectly. Thanks anyway for all of those suggestions!
