Why is there any need for Basecamp when there's already an OS Planner on your website? Thanks.

I always say BaseCamp is the equivalent of PhotoShop in the photography world. You can do lots more with BaseCamp, for example, if I was planning a multi day hike I would be using Garmin BaseCamp but if you just wanted to plan a day walk i would be using our free OS route planner - gpstraining.co.uk/pages/ordnance-survey-route-planner

I have the OS 50k and 25k maps on my device (a GPSmap67). When I zoom in on the device to the 25k scale it shows all street names but when I do the same in basecamp the street names don't show. Any ideas why this happens?

Hi Phillip the Street names on the device come from the pre-loaded Topo Active Maps on the 67 but you can still see them when viewing the OS map. In Basecamp when viewing the OS map you cannot see the streetnames as they not part of the map and it will not show them as the device does from the Topo Active Maps. Kind regards GPST

I have a win 11 laptop, I can down load Basecamp and immediately run it but when I close it and try to open it again, the software doesn't run ?

David, sorry to hear you are having problems with Garmin BaseCamp. I don't know what to suggest, if you got your unit from us or have one of our support packages please just give us a call (email or telephone) and our tech team can log onto your computer and see exactly what is going on. Basecamp does not work for an Edge Explore 2.

my garmin basecamp is blank. it does not have its details such as the route, treess etc. is there a solution ?

For Garmin BaseCamp to show maps you need maps on your GPS unit. If you have those on your unit plug it in and click on Maps (top menu bar) and select the maps you have. Zoom in on them and fingers crossed. I hope this helps.

@@ukgpstraining i have the same problem. I have 66i and i connect my device that has topo europe map but can not see on basecamp. When i click maps menu it only shows global map.
