Garmin Ecomap 93sv UHD /GT54UHD Transducer Installation/How to install a Garmin 93sv on a RAM Mount

I installed a new Gamin Ecomap unit on my boat .I show each step I made duing the install . Hopefully if you want to install one on your boat it will help you out. I also installed the transducer and a Ram Mount for the unit to set on .

Just a note: I install these for a boat dealer.... Transducers are recommended to be mounted on the starboard side of the motor if you have a clockwise turning prop. Helps cut down on transducer producing prop cavitation, especially if turning to port while on full plane. Nice install job!

Yeah I was wondering if someone was going to say that. I just bought a 2000 triton TR21 and I was surprised that the transducer was installed on the port side. The transducer seems to pick up well though. I will probably eventually upgrade the unit to this Garmin since I have a Garmin up front and get a transducer shield and saver to put on the jack plate

Transducer should be at least 15" from the edge of the propeller. Not sure which rotation your prop has, but as mentioned, if propeller moves clockwise, transducer should be mounted on the starboard side.

What kind and size screws did you use to mount the bracket to the ram mount... heading to Home Depot when I get off but don’t have them both with me...

It has done good . I put it at the same location as the old transducer .it want read depth at top speed but I have a thru hull transducer for that. .

@@wildlifeadventures-13 the general understanding is that the transducer is installed on the right side of the motor, from what i read. Are you gettin clean images when trolling or going under 10 mph? The mounting brackets, is it all plastic? Thanks.

I'm still not sure of the height to mount the transducer, should the Top edge be even with the bottom of the hull and transducer be fully in the water when boat is up on plane?

Since this video , I bought a Lowe Boat simi V Aluminum. I mounted the transducer to be just below the hull , and I tilted it down 10-15 degrees so it pick up better when side scanning . Check out Mike Smedely video on transducers .

Hello sir.so how is youre unit reading with ur transducer on ur left side of the outboard? Also are you mounting the transducer below the hull? Im having problems.ive moved mine 4 times on my transom.i got so many holes in my boat its not even funny.i get blurry unclear imaging & can not run my outboard or it is real blurred out.im curious how urs is doing? Thank you.

That is a hard question to answer with out knowing more information. But hear are my recommendations. Mount the transducer as far as you can away from the outboard, set the transducer just below the hull of the boat tilt the transducer down slightly so it sets just below the hull . Connect the power to the unit directly to the battery. set unit back to factory default. then set gain to 62 . Make sure you put the noise rejection clip onto the power cord on the back of the unit . I think, I show that in the video, Good Luck !!

@@wildlifeadventures-13 well 1st let me thank you for replying back.2nd i just found out 2 days augo that my transducer is defective " brand new" i wont say the name brand but its a 3d structure scan ducer.the company is sending me another one.i will get it tuesday.i knew somethin had to be wrong.i done everything by the book & then some.it never was right out of the box.thank you for ur help.im sure the new transducer will fix the problem.

I like center but I didn't have the room ,so I had to go with a side mount.

Did you put that power on a switch so you can shut the whole thing down to avoid parasitic drain?

Yes ,Only one unit for this install . I installed a second unit on the front for the Panoptic LiveScope in another video .
