For real man. I had several samsung watches prior to garmin. I just can't handle their battery life. Sure their functionality is okay but it feels a bit more towards flashy. For those who don't have a 6 series at hand, a nice future video would be a direct comparison between a 7 Series and a 6 Series with 2022 firmware. Both KZbin reviews and the Garmin feature page refer to the 6 Series when it was launched, not today, and some of the 7 Series features (such as changing settings live on the phone) look like they could be coming to the 6 as well...

I have the Phoenix 6x Pro. The feature that would have made it super awesome is the touch screen and real time settings adjustment through phone app. I'm a runner, occasional hiking and biking. You don't know how many times I messed up my training session by fumbling up the buttons. I would pause run so I could look at stats and view map but would somehow reset current session when attempting to get going again. It didn't happen all the time, but at least one session a week. I would like to see the ability to have more than 4 data fields on the watches screen during a run. My favorite is to be able to see Pace/ distance/ Remaining Distance/ HR/ estimated running time to goal/ and count down timer for a set distance. 7X PRO SOLAR looks really nice.

I love my titanium garmin fenix 7 that comes with leather strap. I use the leather strap most of the day, swap it for sports related. Got a lot of compliments on the luxury watch looks of the fenix 7 with the leather strap. The GPS +multiband feature is also what I need as my jogging track area got a low GPS accuracy, it was a mess when I still using apple watch & samsung watch. However, the display could be more vibrant, and sharp. Most of the analog watch face was so bad and pixelated, its hard to look at for a smartwatch at this pricepoint.

@silv3rArrow2 жыл бұрын
Looking at the features IMO it's not worth more than the double price tag. I've seen the 6 as low as 420€ in europe, the 7 costs 900€, that's over 1k$.
@k1mura922 жыл бұрын
@@silv3rArrow Yeah in Norway I got the Fenix 6 (regular version) for 3890 NOK, which is 390€. The pro version is 490€. Personally I could see a richer version of myself getting the Epix gen 2 because the amoled looks so great. On the other hand, I chose the Fenix 6 over the Venu 2 because an amoled screen isn't a real benefit - its purely aesthetic, which I think only matters for a couple of weeks, then you don't really care anymore. But yeah the fenix 7 is probably going to be at least 800€ in Norway if not more... Thats over double the price of the 6!

I really wish Garmin will decide to use a magnetic charger in the future. The charging mechanism that is available with many Garmin devices is just not convenient, many smartwatch developers added magnetic docks and options to charge their product.
@brandonsheffield9873 Жыл бұрын
Additionally, I bought the 6x Pro because Tom Tom left the sport watch market (tomtom was a great cheap alternative). I owned 2 Garmin before switching to TomTom. The main reason for the switch was that Garmin watch bands broke after just 6 months. TomTom had removable bands that third parties sold very cheap and came in many different colors. So I was very skeptical of getting back to Garmin, but Garmin must have figured out how to make good bands because after 3 years it's still holding up. I never take the watch off except for charging. So I'm not as hesitant to check out the 7x Pro Solar.
