I’ve had my Fenix 7X Solar for 10 days now and I freaking love it! It’s perfect! It’s exactly what I need! If you’re wearing an Apple Watch that is a true smartwatch. This watch is like a Swiss Army knife. I’ve had 3 apple watches and at first very impressed but the biggest con IS THAT BATTERY LIFE! The fenix has an INCREDIBLE battery life! Even with the setting I have and notifications I get I have over 50% left and it’s been 10 days! The cons of the fenix are having to sync it twice a day. It’s not bad just a little annoying but it’s not like I’m not I’m on my phone. The other con is just figuring everything out but after a while it gets better. But glad I found this!!! There’s so much I didn’t know lol thank you!

This is the only reason why i have not gotten an apple watch. Battery Life. These Garmin's do everything I need. There hasn't been any bells and whistles that the Apple Watches have where I absolutely have to have one. I love Garmin watches!

Thanks so much. I finally pulled the trigger and purchased this watch. I watched a lot of your videos and was on the fence for such a long time between Fenix 7, Epix 2, and Quatix 7. Ultimately, this video helped me make a final choice. The Quatix was on my list only for the coolness factor, and I think the Epix 2 is a step up but after further thought it seemed like a personal grooming choice between Eucerin and Nivea and I decided to go for the old-fashioned Nivea (i.e., the Fenix 7 X). Also, I wanted to ask please. what type of material your wedding band is made of it just looks so cool and I was thinking of getting one like it.

Hi Chris! That means your unit needs its firmware updated. It’s on the old stinky firmware from November (v6.xx). Once you outdate it (v7.24+), all will be well. It’ll actually do that quietly behind the scenes during the first day, or you can speed it up with Garmin Express on a computer.

Great video Ray 👍 As you know the Fenix 6 can suffer from 'mushy' buttons. How do the buttons feel in comparison on the 7 series? Also, have you noticed any degradation in the optical/oleophobic coatings on the lens (assuming it has some?) after using the touchscreen? I noticed on my Fenix 6 that the coating wore off unevenly over time causing unsightly smears on the screen and the loss of its oil and water repelling properties.

Hey Ray amazing content, thanks for all you do. During this video is the screen brightness as bright as it can get? Or is there some room to increase the brightness level from the demonstration?
@Dcrainmaker2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The default screen brightness isn't adjustable, however, the backlight is adjustable. So anytime I tap/press the backlight comes on, at a default setting of 20% (I left it as the default). So you can increase the backlight considerably, of course, that then also considerably hampers battery (it's the biggest battery killer), depending on how much backlight you use.
@jesseflorquist25302 жыл бұрын
@@Dcrainmaker So how would the display adjust if the backlight was increased? (Sorry I am coming from the 910 xt) Would the numbers show brighter? My dilemma is trying to figure out what is more possible. Making the Fenix 7 brighter when needed, or trying to extend the battery life of the Epix say on a week long backpacking trip?
