thanks for the video. We have a '77 arrow that we are looking at updating in a similar fashion. didn't know you could do this with G5s... we are likely going to go with GI275s, as they will replicate the attitude indicator so we can remove the vacuum system. Nice to know it's working for you!

I have a very similar setup in my Commander 114. Only difference is I have a GTN750. The GPS navigation with the AP works great. It will enter a holding pattern and fly it perfectly. The problem I have is if I choose an ILS approach once I cross the FAF and it switches to ILS Green on the G5 the auto pilot makes a left turn turn and loses its way. I need to disengage the AP and hand fly. Any suggestions as to why it does that? Should he radio selector knob be set to LOC? Or is this type of AP not capable of flying an ILS approach?
