Gain related story. Went out to my local lake the other day trying to work on my setting since updating. They have been doing controlled burns around the lake. Lots of smoke in the air. I can tell you that this caused all kinds of clutter on the screen. My guess is that there was debris falling in the water. Had to turn my gain way down and use more noise reject/TVG/ghost tree reject. Was a tuff day to try and get my setting dialed in. Thanks again for the posts!

That’s very interesting. I’ve found on bright sunny days it affects how you adjust gain also. Have your experienced this also

I updated my 2 93sv Echomaps to version 19.20 and my black box to 2.57. I admit I was worried I screwed up doing the updates. I used your settings as a starting point and my detail was awesome! I see more detail in my brush piles and target separation was a lot better than before. I only see one thin spot where my jig disappears just for a second. Thanks for doing these videos!

u may remember i have the1242 i updated to 26.2 version , it is a great improvement much clearer very little ghost tree much less artifacts glad i did , fished 25 - 30 ft. caught 5 over 14" biggest 2lbs 1 oz. on jig , Pepe and I fish lake of the pines , today we got a 15" before the wind kicked up , Remember " Its the Tug thats the drug " thats my story and im sticking to it , from the great state of Texas this is Capt. America standing by on 16 over and out Tight lines

Have you played around with color limit and color gain with your main gain way up? I have got a great image with a high gain and color gain and color limit adjusted to clean up the clutter and fish pop.

I’m not a big fan of color limit at all. But email me your settings and I may do a settings war with your settings against mine

@@The_Garmin_Guru I'm not saying it's better. Lol. I was just curious if you had tried color limit and color gain combined with a high gain? I believe that those two make more of a difference combined with high gain. Ok course it's all dependent on the fishery. You should put gain at 90 then play with those two and see what you think. You may be able to squeeze some more sensitivity out of your unit while keeping a similar look. I think I have TVG on low and ghost reject on auto. I'm on the LVS32. Might be different on the 34. Was that a double jig setup and what size jig head? I'm new to LS and mine do not show up that well. I mostly use 1/32 oz heads, single jig. I've never been able to see my jig over 20 feet. is that normal?

That’s a lead weight above my jig. Helps to find your bait easier

@@colmankelliher2766 I’m sorry bud. That means if you download a software update for a unit the appropriate black box update is always included in it.

I guess you could unplug your black Box from the unit and only update the unit but I don’t know why.
