I am doing my homework on the water and at home on my mac air. I do not even know the name of the person who made this video, but he is very good…..seems like he was either a teacher or coach as he made things understandable, Maybe a Garmin employee I am guessing. Thank You, keep bringing on the good videos. Kudos to you!

Just found your channel as well!!!! Wish I would have found it 8 months ago. I have struggled to get my livescope dialed in. Tried the new update and like you, I am not a fan of it. Didn’t try the ghost tree auto but I will next time I am on the water. My gain has always been at 53 and I have never messed with Ghost Tree, TVG, or Noise Reject. I will continue watching your videos to see if I can learn some things!

Hello Randy (?). Big THANKS for the tips! Last week, I fired up my boat at the dock, & pushed the power button on my almost New GARMIN 93SV. The unit fired up normally. The page was easy to see. Then, It started searching for 'MAPS', & after, it wanted me to hit the 'I AGREE' button. After I hit the screen, the unit went BLACK! I could barely see that it was still working, but I couldn't see anything but dull black lines. Is there a way I can fix that,,, without searching the net for hours, or calling Garmin Tec Support & being held on the line for hours? Thanks,,, for any help! Also,,, Do you know what contact pins, on the back, are Positive & Negative? Then, maybe I could hook some very small male connectors to them & fire the unit up, AT HOME? the boat & wiring harness is still up Erie! THANKS Again.

I've just jumped into my live scope project do to the rebate Garmin is offering. I was on the fence between Garmin and Hummingbird/Minn Kota now my decision is made. I'm thinking of going with the Echomap ultra 122sv but want to be sure since my home lake is not listed on any map programs and I want to be able to build my own contour map with this unit. What Garmin units are you using?
@The_Garmin_Guru2 жыл бұрын
I have the echomap 93uhd and most all the lakes I fish in Louisiana do not have contour maps available. I use the QuickDraw feature which allows you to build 1 foot contour maps of any body of water. It works great and is very useful. Most all Garmin units have them. You can even download from the QuickDraw community maps in which people have made and uploaded. Thanks for the question I’ll do a video on that next time out

@@The_Garmin_Guru Just joined. Do you have a video about using Quick Draw? Specifically how changes in lake depth from trip to trip affect the map and “rules” for using. By that I mean, where is the map stored, in the locator’s memory or on a card? Is the created map shared between cards on the bow and at the helm if you are networked?

what are the best settings(gain, color gain, color limit.,etc.) to be able to see my dropshot? out at 70 feet and also very close to the transducer?

I have some fairly new videos out with some updated settings bud

Does the type of Garmin graph you use make a difference for image clarity? I have 93SV UHD Echomap with LVS34? Thanks!

I believe the gpsmap series is much clearer but they are definitely expensive
