This time of year makes using livescope more troublesome on reservoir lakes like where I live with the spring rain and debri in the water from rising water levels (+25ft in 1 month). Great video, helpful info lets me know my unit isn't bad it's just tough conditions for livescope, so settings have to be adjusted more often.

Have you guys considered putting your info from these webinars in a hard copy downloadable file for reference to users? I think it would be an awesome benefit instead of looking back and watching a video when you can have a guide. Thanks for your consideration.

I would suggest DYI for the best way to obtain a hard copy: For each slide, you can use the "print screen" option on your keyboard, paste it into the paint program, use the print function to make an Adobe document of it, save that document, then combine all the slides into 1 Adobe document. There are about 17 slides in this video.

If using an auxiliary pole mount and typically fishing from 10-30 ft.... would you recommend the 8 degree mount or the zero degree mount ? Sometimes in 30 ft of water the jig disappears in the deeper water .... ????
@GarminInt
@GarminInt 3 жыл бұрын
If you're using a different pole mount, I'd recommend the 0°. The 30° is recommended for shaft mounts and trying to get around a trolling motor. -MR

Will calibration of the compass be different with the transducer attached to the trolling motor vs a transducer pole ?

MK Stu here again . I’m hooking up ultra 126sv 92sv gcv 20 and livescope , should I put a on and off switch on the livescope . I figure if I’m out scrolling around for fish I don’t need to leave the unit on because it will be drawing current off the battery. I’ve got a 100ah lithium battery that going to run all of this. Also can you tell me how long the units will last with this setup, and also about the on and off switch.Thank you Stu
@GarminInt
@GarminInt 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Stu! We'd want a switch going directly to the battery and not a bus bar. We don't have a specific run time and there would be many factors that go into that. The best way to get an estimate for length of time is to find an amp hour calculator on the internet. (KS)

So can you calibrate if you're not mounting your system to a boat?

@GarminInt 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! It is still possible if it is pole mounted. The transducer just needs to be able to turn 360º. -MR

@@GarminInt thank you!! I own the GPSMAP 1243XSV . And I am thinking about buying 1 of the 2 option remote controls, that 1 cost $99.99 & the other cost $399.99 . What is the biggest differences between the two?
@GarminInt
@GarminInt 3 жыл бұрын
Which remote are you referring to? Is it a remote for the chartplotter? If so, the GRID remote is designed more to be used with a multi chartplotter network and is designed to be solid mounted. The wireless remote control is designed more for one chartplotter and is better for portable use. -MR

You keep saying "EFI" but I've heard of EMI (electro magnetic interference) or RFI (radio frequency interference). Maybe smooshing the two together? Electric frequency interference??? Not to nit pick... I love this content and these videos so much. Thank you!
