I love it when products do what they’re supposed to do. Well designed bag and system.

Perfect timing man! I just bought one yesterday. Great job showing how to do it right, save me some trouble and time understanding the manual. Also helped me decide on my purchase to really see the ice fishing package they are offering. Thanks bud. Now we just need some ice! (I'm in Colorado, there's some ice in the mountains but not much)

Been really loving the tenkara, and happened to be researching this and here you are. Can't wait to see what you get going here. Tight lines from NW WY.

By chance do you know if you can just charge directly using the adapter to the wall unit with the cord still attached to the striker 4 unit or do you have to remove it every time?
@ReganWetherill2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Garmin should sponsor you because the provided instructions are laughable. Long time lurker on your Tenkara channel, so if you ever come up to Kamloops in BC, I'll show you some of my cricks.

The instructions provided are embarrassing (for garmin). I’ve heard good things about the fish finder tho. Excited to try it out this winter. Thanks for doing a video!

Great video of the assembly 👌🏽😁. As much as we would love to believe that Garmin tossed in the ice-ducer for “free” in the “plus 4” bundle, we are definitely paying for it as the original striker 4 unit comes with the more traditional transom mount ducer for nearly $100 less 😉. Anglers are still able to use the transom style ducer through the ice but it takes a bit of finessing and adjustment 👍🏽. Excited to get out on the ice and use mine, we need colder temps up here in NW MT 🙏🏽. Tight lines!!!

Yeah I considered getting the original one and just modifying to for ice use (seen a few videos of people doing that), but since I'll be using this exclusively for ice fishing for the foreseeable future, I figured I'd just get the ice unit. I tested mine out for the first time a few days ago, and it was awesome! So cool being able to see the fish.

Why do u get the ice transducer and I get the transom one and the unit is for ice fishing, go figure? I just saw the other comment, u have the plus model but the whole thing is more suited for ice fishing because of the bag so the transmon mount should be the afterthought if u want to add it.

Any trick to getting the swivel top off so I can screw in the swivel base? Doesn’t seem to want to detach. Feels like I’ll break it if I pull off the mount piece that holds the display unit. Thanks, in advance!

@@jacksongenise1733 needed some magic and luck. Well actually it just needed some small smooth movement of the wrist. Can't really tell how it actually did come apart. But it is not a force thing, like I almost tried forced it off.. Just use the lever and then a small gentle flick of the wrist.. It should do the trick at some point.
