Does a maps 67i track back? Never tried it.

Yes, I have field test video here where I show creating the course on the Explore App and then I used TracBack on the 67i and it gave me on and off-course alerts. You can check out that video here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kF6siJRnpdFsnsk Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick

Thx! Another great video. Can you please show how to create a route and waypoints from your iPhone or iPad with Garmin Explore? (I don’t have a Mac for PC. ) I have the GPSMap64s and I am looking to upgrade. What are your thoughts? Should I go to the 67i or just get the Messenger to compliment the 64s? I prefer a one device approach but the 67i it soooo expensive. 😮 The rechargeable battery life sure is appealing.

Thanks for the thumbs up. I have a video showing how to create a course on the Explore App. I'll leave it here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3-QqXmOntJ6q7s If you have a good way to navigate, then adding the Garmin inReach Messenger is a good option, however, I like an all-in-one device so I would save up some money and buy the GPSMAP 67i. I personally like it better, but it is a personal decision for everyone. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rick

This sounds like a great device. Thanks for the review. Would you also recommend carrying a personal locator beacon as well? I understand they’re much more powerful work off three separate satellite networks, so the chances of getting a signal out of much greater in a life or death situation.
