How well does it track weight lifting? There’s always latency issues of course with wrist based activity trackers but the Apple Watch actually does very well so curious how this one is.
@_samurai_7445 жыл бұрын
Michael Lee According to the review of Vivoactive 4 by Techy Agent Garmin seems to have beaten Apple in terms of heart rate accuracy even for weight lifting type workouts. Also my previous device Forerunner 245 had also been fantastic after 3.40 update, heart rate accuracy and latency hugely improved. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHzKhZiiq9Grn8U

I do a HIIT workout on a treadmill. It consists of a warmup, the workout, and the cool down. @daveg34094 жыл бұрын
Garmin should allow developers to utilize an always on display that has more available screen resolution. The always on display that is available for most 3rd party apps is very limited. Many users would gladly sacrifice some Battery life for a more robust always on display. This Would make it a much closer Competitor to the Apple watch 5.

While Garmin kind of invented the ANT+ wireless sensors communication protocol. It seems they did not yet enable native detailed ant+ Powermeter recording support, besides some limited connect iq apps in their expensive middle end Vivoactive en Venu watches. Allthough Polar is utilising the same strategy of limiting powermeter functionality for the higher end and not on the middle end range Polar ignite and fitness watch Polar unite. As if the Garmin & Polar sales department are thinking Sport people who buy a powermeter will have more money to spend on watches too ;-) That con for these watches is the biggest no-go for me. Garmins custom configerable custom Fitness strength workouts like Polar's animated Fitspark though is a small good Pro imo.
