I just need to point something out, garnet - red garnet specifically has been used for thousands of years for many reasons - for religious, spiritual and other purposes. It was used by Kohen Priests (Hebrew/Jewish). The Hebrew name of Garnet loosely translates into Pomegranite. Greeks did not invent language. They used other people's already existing languages! Hebrew and Arabic are both older than Latin!
