It was just a matter of time because his will was too strong but once it starts to go down he was going to rip either way. That's the weirdest thing I have seen too. As you can see kizaru turns into light when he " was sent flying " and he didn't even have a scratch on him. Kizaru was playing with him just like he was playing with whitebeard.

AMINE Cheddadi not really. He just got a few hits in. If akainu was really fucked up then why was he able to walk and fight all of WB commander at once while going after luffy. All he had was a bloody nose and mouth but he was fine and if he wasn't fine then he wouldn't have been standing until the end of the war. Aokiji did better against him than the whole WB pirates.

Luffy as a kid was never as arrogant and disrespectful as Ace. You can tell by how Luffy never refers to Garp as jiji even though he looked up to Ace so much. For a kid, that would have been easy to imitate but Luffy never did. Ace had his demons even this early on, he was always trying to fill a void that eventually the Whitebeard Pirates filled. While Luffy has always been Luffy. Luffy's has the dangerous power of turning enemies into friends. It's something that even Garp doesn't have. It works even for someone like Ace. The point is, it's more like Garp was given a task of raising Roger's and Dragon's sons while he being vice-admiral at the same time. As much as he wanted them to be Marines, he just didn't have the tools to know how to raise them right. But he tried his best.

Yeah about that…. Ace was the reason this happened. Let me explain. So first he went after blackbeard even though everyone told him to stay cuz it was to dangerous. Guess what? He goes and gets clapped by blackbeard, gets captured and many pirates die trying to free him. He gets freed, but then when akainu throws some playground insults at him (your dads old and a loser) he turns around and FIGHTS him. Then he endangers luffy by doing that, after that he had to help luffy, but dies in the process. So he singlehandedly wiped out half of the whitebeard pirates. Hes a dumbass.

People have mentioned this by now but it's true. Had Garp killed Ace right here, the only difference would have been most likely everyone in Marineford dying before the fight even started. Whitebeard could have just gone rogue from a long distance and cause earthquake after earthquake until the island was destroyed. Idk why people think highly for Ace, he is always fighting for wrong causes, he even left his ambition of becoming king of pirates to join White Beard. And thought of making Newgate the king. I mean, Newgate clearly does not want to become king of anything. And after Teach kills one of his crewmates, he looses his mind and chases Teach only to be defeated him and then get caught by marine. Even after being freed from his shackles, he picks a fight with Akinu of all people. Ace is always living with regrets and dies with regret too, although he is good at heart he is an imbecile.

Firstly ace always hated his father "roger" and the fact that he was his son made him question his existence. He grew up thinking that nobody loved him. Meeting whitebeard changed his life he got a father figure and and a big crew that cared for him as family. Plus even tho whitebeard was ill and not at his best shape he was still regarded as the "strongest Man in the world" and everyone knew the one rule of whitebeard pirates that the members were forbidden from ever killing another crew member which teach broke. Ace's decision of chasing bb was just him respecting this general rule plus he was bb's commander so he took it as his responsibility. And lastly his decision to face akainu after he deliberately disrespected whitebeard just shows that how much he respected White beard not just as a captain but as a father figure.

What I really love about garp is that, he does know where to get serious and where to not.
