Even though it's being picked up by your mic, I can tell how detailed it sounds. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words. The Speakers are B&W 683's. I wanted an old changer for fun and to play some of the old jazz LPs that are too beat up for my "good" turntable. I picked the Garrard AT-6 after seeing so many references to it being a "bullet proof" record changer-or one that's "built like a tank". I also only wanted to spend about $40, which is all you need to get one of these. The cartridge is the original Pickering U-38 with a new replacement stylus. It's truly a fun rig!

Great showing! I also have an AT6 and that same album! I love the U-38 but I don't have that on the AT6. I have a newer Pickering cartridge; NP/AC. It is loud and also quite durable as the old changers can be clunky at times.

Don't know, jenschin. My U-38 came on the changer. I did replace the stylus, so i can tell you those are available. The obvious thing would be to try eBay. You might even be able to find one mounted on a changer cheap enough. The AT-6 in this video was less than $30 delivered not too long ago. I can say it's a really enjoyable cartridge for this type of "fun" listening. Very pleasant without inner groove distortion. Kind of lets the critical mind rest a while and just enjoy some music.

Got to love Julie London. I have an antique Fisher console with a Garrard AT6. Any idea where I can buy a new pickering U38 cartridge for it, I'm having trouble finding one

The speakers with the small footprint and excellent sound, what are they? You picked a winner turntable, out of the gazillion, how did you know to choose that one? Please let us know the cartridge you're using/prefer GREAT JOB Never heard of Julie London, thank you for sharing. Class.

I have this same changer...it was inside a vintage ent. I bought off of ebay. What's funny is that I also have the same Julie London album. Wish the AT-6 was worth something though! Will it ever become a collectors item do you think?

I just got a 2025tc from my grandmother, looks in good condition but I haven't been able to try it yet. in the front it says Detson, not sure what that is.

I have this same changer, and I really like it. The only thing I've been worried about is the seemingly hard drop it gives the records on automatic. Have you noticed any Record wear caused by stacking?

Where do you find a stylus or needle for one of these?
@KamaTanha3 жыл бұрын
I've gotten a lot of needles from ebay seller needledaddy. They've been very helpful when I've written to ask about stlii. I did replace this one, but it was so many years ago now. I likely got it from needledaddy
