I have one of these players, and I love it! Nice, sturdy vintage equipment. I use it with a Pickering V-15 cartridge and a conical stylus.

Hmmm so nothing fixed I see. When the top arm is in the open position it will keep repeating.

I have this deck and there is an annoying noise from it but I used an earth cable from the mixer to metal part on my pc case and that helped but its still there.

How long are you going to leave that top-lock arm way over there where it shouldn't be? Maddening! Did you ever get it right?

the steps on the idler pulley need cleaning very badly

When the grey swing arm is left up while it plays it will repeat put it down and it will turn off after triggering at the end of the record.

That's how most work. When the arm is swung to the right, it is stopped from dropping low and triggering the stop function.

Hey Jim, does this Garrard AT6 Automatic Record Changer have a hertz or a switch that set for the UK 50 htz or US 60 htz? I am concern about the electrical voltage so I can avoid getting shock? I service the record player about 2 days ago. That was lubricated all the bearings the Idle Wheel, Metal Plate for the cam and mechanism underneath the unit. What should I do? Can I use a Audio Technica Cartridge with Stylus on the Headshell as well. Thanks.

I read from the manual that if the motor pulley (it's the stepped pully) is silver, it is wired for 50 hertz. If brass - 60 htz. Voltages however are another issue. maybe a sticker is still on it that gives the specifications?

Hello Jim :) I was wonder where to get and how to change the needle out? If you know could you let me know or make a video on how to? Thank you?
@Sk8rboy4203 жыл бұрын
Depends on your cartridge. My Garrard came with Pickering v15 cartridge and therefore that’s the replacement stylus you need. Cheap ones are around $20 on eBay or Amazon. Good luck!
@Sk8rboy4203 жыл бұрын
Ofcourse, it depends on your cartridge... lift up the arm and you should see a brand and or model number next to the needle. That’ll determine which stylus you need in most cases. Also look up how to adjust weight using a small scale and other adjustment on KZbin. vinyl is tedious and you can get very nerdy about it. Hence “AudioPhiles”

You set the arm weight at zero where the arm just floats,,,, then turn the dial to 2 or 3 grams to start.
