Thanks for joining us in our ongoing prospecting adventures in the Outback with the new Garrett Axiom. In this video we demonstrate the Target Audio and Threshold Tone in a number of 'live' digs, plus a run of gold nuggets weighing in at a mere 0.00gm! All the very best and Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.

Well done Warren and Colleen…and yes we can all turn $200 worth of diesel into $20 worth of gold. Though the travels and areas we get to along with the history is all part of the hobby

Great work you two, loved this video.... all of us over at the detectorprospector forum are watching your videos closely and we have a HUGE Garrett Axiom section where one of the field testers (the site owner Steve Herschback) has done EXTENSIVE technical review and write ups.... come join us over there for discussions and chat... be advised it's a very technical no nonsense crowd, use the search button before just asking questions already asked)... come join us as we welcome this new and highly anticipated detector into the gold fields.

you sounded a bit sad to be leaving that nice quiet area. Differently a winter-only trip I would say. Flies and heat would be unbearable. Fun place, just getting those specks out of the ground is a challenge.

Lovely video thanks for sharing. May I add on your conversation at the end that I agree with what your saying. However it is sad and depressing that government will never let us get small machines and push out there and do it profitable. Eventually gold will get that hard to find as a hobbyist that it will probably kill the hobby. Unless new technology is invented that will go deeper on smaller gold and bigger gold. But yes it’s good to walk in the old timers footsteps and history is interesting but the dream of living off of gold is fading away.

Hey Warren thanks for taking the time to do your video, we are waiting for the rain to ease of down here in Tasmania to get our summer sniping season underway. I'm too old and it's too cold in winter to snipe so I'm planning a trip to Tibooburra next in July, do you have any advice as to which areas I should head to ? I presume the common has been hammered, do you have a preference between Gumvale station or Mt. Stuart ? Any general advice would be appreciated from you or your viewers.
@NQExplorers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching John, yes the Common has been flogged for over 40 years but still yields gold if you scrub the coil and just enjoy the experience, we got gold every day we were up there, I would recommend Mt Stuart too, just concentrate on a spot that looks good and you will be rewarded with slow careful detecting. All the best mate and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

Enjoyed the gold hunting videos Warren. I've got to ask you, how would you compare the Axiom to the ATX in terms of effectiveness in locating targets and. overall functionality? Unfortunately, I really got a sour taste in my mouth about Garrett products after purchasing, what was for me a large expenditure, the ATX. I found it to be a poor performing detector...not due to user error (I have 40 years of experience using metal detectors). Garrett always has a great sales pitch, but with the ATX, it didn't live up to the hype in my humble opinion. So, I would be very interested on your opinion of the Axiom. Would love to see you use it in an area that has larger and deeper pieces of gold. Thanks Warren, and best of luck to y'all next time out.
@NQExplorers2 жыл бұрын
Bill the Axiom is a couple of generations beyond ATX. I did find plenty of gold with ATX but even with the 8" mono, it would be unlikely to hit the tiny 0.00 grammers that the Axiom just screams on. Plus we now have ultra lightweight coils rather than the solid epoxy windings that did false with any impact. Axiom coils can be scrubbed on the ground with absolutely no falsing. It is a major step forward in a pulse detector, then add the extra long battery life and float away in your hands weight (under 2kg with the 11" coils). Colleen had no issues swinging it all day even with the 13" coils. Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

Ha. Hi Jen, sorry we have been off grid for a few days. Day 2-4 were included in the second video - we had some really bad weather on Day 2 and only did half an hours detecting (still got gold though), I wrapped Days 3/4 together for the second video. More Axiom videos coming soon once we get the editing done. All the best and Happy Fossicking! Warren.

That's a bit different, why the border fence way out there?
@NQExplorers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching our video. The state border fence is actually known as the ‘Dog Fence’ to keep the wild Dingos on the Queensland side from entering the predominantly sheep country on the NSW side. They are currently extending it to over 1300km, the longest Dog Fence in the world. All the best and Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.

@@NQExplorers ahhh , thanks for the reply.I truly ordered the axiom after watching your success with it.It seems similar the gpx 6k ? We ordered from kellyco and it's got the 11 mono and 13 dd coils,kind of wish both coils where mono but I'm excited, after swinging the sdc2300 my arm needs a definite break😆

Could it be said that the ATX would have had the same responses to the shallow gold especially the 0.00gm specs?
@NQExplorers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting Mark, very unlikely ATX would hear that tiny gold even with the 8" mono coil. I would not compare Axiom to ATX other than to say that Axioms is several generations beyond in Pulse Technology, weight and ease of use. Happy Fossicking mate! Warren.
@billsmith85452 жыл бұрын
I had the ATX for two years and just sold it as I was unhappy with the weight of the machine especially with the deep seeker coil and the depth at which it would detect small gold if it picked it up at all. I had all three sizes of coils and did pretty in depth air and buried dirt tests at various settings with different sizes of gold and graphed it all for my own use and I am certain it wouldn't touch the gold that was found here by the Axiom even when the gold was sitting on the coils at the hottest settings.

How is the depth because a monster 1000 will get that stuff better.
