in theory you could re run the intake pipes from maf to the intake and do away with intercooler and the rest of the pipes

the worse seal to go on a turbo is the intake seal as the engine will have its own fuel source now and can lead to run away and rather then burning diesel it burns the engine oil and revs till the point it melts or something breaks another common problem is the soot build up in the variable vains and they get stuck and then only give power at a fixed rpm rather then varing the vains for turber spin speed at lower rpm

I've got absolutely no idea what's wrong with my turbo! The seals on the spindle were wrecked. I replaced and it still didn't work. 🤷♂️

@@AntonyCartwright ok so actuater controls vains if they stuck torbo wont work right only at set exhuast flow rate then it will spin up if bearing went then the vains rub on the casing miss shapre them and wont compress air most cases astra vectra i have worked on tends to be actuator fails or the vains get carboned up and get stuck

@@1981dasimpson So, on this turbo, if I actuate it, about 10 little pieces of metal stick out and grab onto the impeller thing.
@1981dasimpson Жыл бұрын
@@AntonyCartwright they should not touch the impella what these do id direct the flow so when they is little exhuast flow low rpm they make a smaller tip point thus upping the pressure of air flow and spinning the impella up when they is more gas flow they back off as the higher point of pressure is no longer needed to the actuator they should be a vaccume line no vac vains closed high vac vains open think of it like nozzles on a turbine

Does it passes the emmission controlls? And the DPF ? Does your car throwing any fault codes after? Thank for the eye opening video.

Hi, how do you think, is there options to assembly this ring upside down? Does it have irregular spacing between hols for fingers and it is important to assembly it good side to up? Is it is mirror reflection or not?? Regards

You repaired the turbo yourself and complained it didn’t work. Turbos absolutely should be refurbished by a licensed repair shop. This is terrible advise

That's the worst advice I have seen in a long time xD. Maybe if you are stuck in the desert or something to get home its an idea...

Trust me, this is very good advice. I've had a ford focus for 7 years. This little dabbling has saved soooo much hassle. It's a dream come true.

Gutting a turbo is an outrageous idea🤣🤣🤣. Maybe fix the issue causing turbo failure in the first place next time👍(injector seals)@@AntonyCartwright

@@harrisonwebb5279 The injector seals have been done. It's a poor design. Still, I don't have a turbo. It's the best decision ever for this car. I'm still running it without a turbo now. It's bombproof!

This is how to downgrade your engine from turbocharged to plain atmospheric at best, you don't fix anything by doing this.
@AntonyCartwright3 ай бұрын
@@ivicadrozan6773 Oh no, you do fix something. You fix the possibility of your turbo blowing on an old car, therefore making it useless while driving. This turbo fix has been amazing!
