Why is Assetto Corsa multiplayer TERRIFYING!? (full motion sim). If I ever play on drifting my Nissan 240sx in real life, I need to at least overcome my fear of drifting in a video game... Today's video focuses on overcoming that fear, hopping in a multiplayer drift lobby in Assetto Corsa, and trying my best. Am I good at drifting? No. Am I better than when I first started? I did the same thing you are doing, I was nervous, just make sure you have a teleport to pits button bound so you can get out of the way. be courteous when pulling on track. I also learned in 3rd, made the switch 2 years in. now the 1st person with neck fx is the move

Couple tips I have for you to catch up would be: 1. Take the inside as much as you can, the inside is always faster than the outside. 2. Have a smaller drift angle, the more foward the car is going, the better the acceleration. 3. In transition, don't switch 90 degree instantly and instead give alot of time being straight and slam the gas, brake before the corner so you dont crash tho. 4. Don't focus on the car infront too much as a bad leader will be very hard to catch up to anyway and focus on your drifting ! 5. Have fun and have a great day on the track ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

One tip I can give is follow at maybe 2 car lengths back watch the line the leader takes then cut the line to catch up but leave room for them to transition

Having the mini map up can help with entering tracks - Can always see if dots are coming in so you dont cut off people - And teleport to pits is always a must for lobbies, quick an easy to get out of the way -

Just found your chanel, good job with the training :) Currently I am an IRL drifter and a sim drifter as well with a few years of experience. (I am also a leg amputee btw :) ) It is very difficult giving you concrete tips that are instantly going to help But what I can say is that you should not even think about tandem chase before you can clear this playground map (easy difficulty 😅) a few times in a row without breaking a sweat. Take it step by step, dont skip learning stages, as it is just inefficient.. In terms of actual driving Not sure what kind of mod this is, but it looks like a car with a huge angle kit. Unless you have something like that on your S13, try to find more "street" car oriented mods. In terms of suggestions.. not sure honestly, but maybe excite pack or WDT pack could be better for IRL practice. The huge angle kit makes you get used to easily getting out of certain situations with a little throttle, when in reality you cannot throw the car like that with most cars. Good luck!

Hey Garrett ! Im good at ac drifting tendems and I would say the biggest tip to learning how to tandem is to go in servers where everyone is super good and follow them from a distance to watch what they do and get a feel for it, and with time, get closer and closer until your drifting with them. Also, if your learning, nobody cares, everyone in there wants to have fun and if you respect basic server rules (reseting when you crash,etc..), people aren't going to care about you learning, coming from a good sim drifter. when chasing its all about left foot braking , So whenever the leader is about to hit the transition u control the car with the brakes SLIGHTLY then u hit ur transition (clutch kick for power)

Loving the regular uploads recently! You're getting better on drift playground for sure, I'd reccomend trying out other drift circuits like ht Rhythm n flow or some of ctoretto's tracks that he has made. I'd also reccomend giving touge drifting a shot once you're more confident - a great one to start with is called Dousojin Touge. It's relatively short but you'll learn valuable techniques such as left foot braking and how to use inertia drift (Scandinavian flick) to link corners

I will say assetto records every session so if you would be willing to slog through the clips you can record the first person with neck fx or third person while you're driving in the stationary. I think ctorreto does that

Looking forward to the 'assetto sim drifter tries real world drifting' video (they always get tonnes of views). My advice for tandeming is to watch some of Kame Tricks and Haugen Racing's tandem youtube tips as they'll go over techniques to drop back like handbrake and left foot braking. It's about being able to anticipate the persons lines that you're chasing. They're putting down a perfect run and it's your job to follow that line and get out of the way during transitions. You won't be able to tandem with someone who's all over the place. Also would love another IRL update on the drift car in the garage

i can tell you, my biggest issue was to not know when and how to left foot brake properly. if you figure that out. BELIEVE ME your going to tandem like never before

id love to help i have over 900 hours on ac and i still need to practice tandems. some pointers, lower rpm = less wheelspin = more grip, so if you need to catch someone lower ur rpm to get more traction also ebrake is great for extending, correcting, and adjusting your line mid slide dont rely on it but if you need a little line change or something use the tools at your disposal

Quick tip. E brake extends the drift. Left foot braking, adds more angle. Brake bias should be focused more towards the front brakes. Roughly 75%

There's a replay mode in assetto corsa which you can acess when you press pause while in a session which automatically records everything you did in an assetto corsa session. You can use this to set different cameras to the viewers while you're using a different one. Like for example (using the first person camera with no neck fx but setting it so that we only see third person camera) Just record the replay or save it ingame and with whatever editing software you use sync it up with your webcam.

Be sure to take irl drift lessons before taking your car to a track. It gives you a good idea of what it feels like and you aren't just going to the track with no idea what to do irl

dont sweat getting in the way or anything, you are already doing better than half the people in these servers. Don't you have a VR headset? Especially if you're practicing for IRL you should use it. Yes it's sweaty and cumbersome, so is a helmet. And it's a 100x better to run a realistic car like from the WDTS pack even if it isn't YOUR car, than running a cheap copy of your car with poor physics. How you learn to tandem is run clean lead laps. Lap after lap after lap. Until you are completely bored of it then take a break and start over. When you are good at that then other people try to follow you and when other people can reliably follow you THEN you try to follow them. You can't learn to follow before you can drift 20 laps of this without spinning out or stopping. Lap after lap after lap after lap after lap after...that's all it takes. I'd say 100-300 hours to be reliably good at it. I'd love to jump on a server and help out but fuck this car pack.
