I was born American but my family is from Mayo. The same town of Garron. I get it. Spent many summers on the banks of Lough Conn. I would never make tea in the microwave. I still use a kettle but is electric and cordless. Lyon,s is my fav. Can’t get it here. The closest is Twillings Irish breakfast. Good and hearty with a spit of milk.

Aussie here and we have more than flat whites available. I used to drink flat whites but the sugars needed get bitter after a while. So now I have affogato. I scoop icecream, 1 shot of coffe which melts the icecream. FYI iceream never gets to the stage of tasting bitter! I also ask for a little jug of cold milk on the side to keep it topped up as I drink. Also love an iced mocha! Great chat Garron. See ya.

Vanilla latté sounds very nice indeed. I usually make my coffee half hot milk with vanilla. That's actually closer to French coffee in my experience. They traditionally boil the milk (probably an old habit from when you could get tuberculosis from milk). Boiled milk tastes better IMO in coffee. I like lots of milk in the coffee.

People are fascinated with Irish, Scottish and English accents. It is so weird that we are so enamoured of the accents. I think it goes back to the the British invasion in the sixties LOL. When I think of accents it seems the British Isles accents are very clipped, the Canadian (bear with me here as we have lots of Irish descendants here and if you listen to the accents of Newfoundland, Canada they still have similar to Irish lilt) and then going south to the US the English accent get less clipped and lazier as you go south. Just my observations but something you could look into.
