Technically the first Garten of Banban is free, so they didn't really do the first one for profit. But they did advertise the second game in the main menu, before it was out. So I guess you could say they only made the first one free, because they planned on selling the rest of the upcoming chapters. But yeah, idk.

I did 3D modeling for 2 years as my main source of income. I worked at a factory -in the engineering department making all the 3D models for the companies tooling. I can honestly say, It's pretty easy to get good at when you're forced to do it for 60 hours a week as your job. I can't imagine getting good at it casually. But 60 hours a week for 2 years makes it pretty dang easy.

3D has taken up a whole year of constant research and practice. Applied across both Blender and Cinema 4D, I can say with confidence Blender is the better modeler and app to make 3D behave the way you want. But Cinema 4D is better with motion tracking and rendering more realistic renders (using Redshift preferably). I still haven't found a good workflow between the two, since I'm too poor to buy Nuke, I gotta bounce between the two.
