He's currently doing a stadium tour! I'm super excited cause one of my friends got us tickets to see him in Dallas on July 30th! I've seen him once in Houston in 2015 and it's still an awesome show.

It's kind of surreal, when you're grocery shopping. and one of the most popular singers on the planet, who is doing his own grocery shopping, passes you in the isle, and speaks to you. And I could tell he would have stopped and talked. Garth simply likes people. Until his youngest girl graduated HS, he and Trisha had lived about 20 miles from Tulsa, and about 10 minutes from me. Garth was often seen in stores, and locally owned burger joints in Claremore and Owasso. I took a pic of him and my youngest daughter that night. She had seen him in Kohl's 2 times before and he actually remembered being in the checkout line with her. He'd stop and visit with just about anyone. When he was involved in a lawsuit for several days, 100 or more people would wait outside the courthouse to get his autograph. Each day he would stay until everyone who wanted an autograph, got one. Seems like a good guy.

What I loved about watching Garth live - and you get it in this concert - is that there is zero lip synching. He's out of breath, he's running around the stage like a madman, but he's having such a great time feeding off the energy of the crowd that you don't really notice.

The thing I always loved about Garth was that he wasn't just a singer. The man was an entertainer, a performer and a showman. There are so many of my favorite bands that I wish I could force them to watch a GB concert and say "SEE!!! That's how it's done"

Such a phenomenal talent GB is and not just his singing and writing abilities but entertaining, giving, sincerity in making all feel a part of what is taking place. I regret not seeing him in concert but during part of his farewell concert series of 2007 in KC, Missouri my future daughter-in-law's parents attended the show and brought back a limited Garth sweatshirt for me which I'm forever grateful for and I've never had it on. Worried something might happen to it but I love it. And can I just say 'have mercy' Garth wears Wranglers oh so well!

This concert is actually from pretty early in his career. By the time he did his shows in Central Park and Ireland (both available on video) he didn't have to sing more than about three words of "The River," "What She's Doin' Now," or "The Thunder Rolls," and several others. In fact, one of the most powerful things I've ever seen at a concert is a moment from one of his shows with the show "The River," and I think it's somewhere out there on KZbin. As much fun as this concert is, do another reaction to one of his later shows. Sort of a "before and after" type of thing. By the way, look up HIS official video for "The Change." That's one that you need to see.

Well said sir. where do I start? I am happy you got to experience this. I am not a HUGE COUNTRY "LOVER" but like you if its good I appreciate it PERIOD. That said Garth in the 90s hooked me like a fish and got me to explore the Country Genre much deeper. I found many thing I truly appreciate, But at the end of the day at that time and since IMO there has not been any "GREATER" ENTERTAINER than this man he was from an "entertainer" standpoint to country what Michael Jackson, Elvis Prince and others have been to other genre. I had the pleasure of attending one of these shows and I must tell you the energy in the room was unlike much else I ever experienced.. You are right he killed (one of my fav) that Billy Joel song you may be right, he also did an excellent cover of Hard Luck Woman by Kiss who was a HUGE influence on him... One other thing I think YOU may appreciate he did an album as an Alter Ego named Chris Gaines, short version is it was frowned upon by the country diehards, and the movie it was attached to was a bit of a flop but it is of interest because though I did not LOVE all the music a couple really good songs are on it and m most importantly it really shows what you are talking about. It is worth a listen as it shows his true versatility it is basically Pop soft rock with some R & B flair it shows some of the "influences" he had that cross racial and genre boundaries I think you may appreciate it just look up Chris Gaines That "IS" Garth Brooks I appreciate anything good as I have said but if you forced me to pick a "favorite country artist of all time it would have to be this guy. anyway, keep being you sir and best to you.

Back in the 90s, he would come here and do 7 shows here within 2 weeks and sell out of them all... and people would STILL miss out on seeing him. He could sell out way more than 7 shows. And I'm from Buffalo NY so its not even like we are a large market or a southern city. I dont know of another artist of ANY genre that's alive right now that could ever achieve that. When Garth "retired" when I was a teenager, I was so upset because I never got to see him live. His daughter's finally are grown now so hes out of retirement and I cried when my father bought us all concert tickets to his comeback tour. He has a huge impact on my childhood and I'm thankful for that.
