I was surprised Kobbie Mainoo wasn't mentioned for either young player or surprise of the season. No one outside of those who keep an eye on uniteds youth teams had heard of the lad and for him to come into not only the worst united team in decades but actually puff his chest out and stand up where other more senior players didnt and then to go on and perform to the levels he did, is remarkable. Like I say I'm not saying he would win but he certainly deserves his plaudits this season

@@bendodsworth2373 Very true. If he did exactly what he was doing in a better performing, but low-profile team, he would be absolutely MILES away from the England setup. Look at 17 year old Lewis Miley, he was outperforming Mainoo week in week out when they both broke into their teams. One of them can't even make the u21s, the other was fast-tracked to the senior squad!

Making yourself one of the first names on the team sheet by being arguably the most composed and reliable player on the pitch time and time again for a club of the stature of Manchester United, in addition to the scrutiny the club has been under in particularly this season isn't quite the same

The thoughts on Trippier was an interesting one, not reached the heights of last season supposedly but it depends by which measure, as a Newcastle fan I would agree he’s been a little more shaky at the back however he’s played 12 less league games this season and yet he has 10 assists this season vs 7 last season

VAR should stay so they can trip themselves further, in front of the people no less with on field explanation. VAR plus semi automated offside tech. I don't want to see what Fergie's refs did to Arsenal. City have also mastered the art of flying these refs to ref their games and then ref their weekend game in England. Fergie couldn't be as influential as he was if he didn't have sth on them. Why should they fear him? In any case their bad spell coincided with Rodri's absence. He's their most important player.

Rodri also kicked a ball away on a yellow against Newcastle so he should have been off, if that’s any other team that’s a definite 2nd yellow. It’s amazing how much they get away with yet people will still praise them.

I don't think there's a wrong answer for TOTS in the prem this year there have been SOO many outstanding players who have had incredible seasons this year my personal TOTS would be GK Pickford LB Andy Robertson CB Van dijk CB Saliba RB Trent alexander Arnold CDM Rodri CM Mac Allister CM De Bruyne LW Foden ST Haaland RW Watkins I know some of these players had time out injured but they've been outstanding when they've played this season
