A HEY! YOU! WHAT YA GONNA DO? (GET OFF OF MY CLOUD). Brilliant and no Rolling Stones either, just the Glitter Band. GREAT!
@kevinwhite118512 жыл бұрын
Glitter is a key figure in British rock. This track is an interesting example of his Gary Glitter character with its laddish lyrics and Mike Leander's quite original take on rock, which is in the beat, which remains influential. Rock music is full of characters who are not perfect. But that is for another thread. In the meantime, a great historical document her for which I thank the uploader.

Quite ironic, at the height of Gary Glitters popularity, Jimmy Savile and Dave Lee Travis were at the top of their career and Fred West was hard at work on building a new extension for his house and laying the patio in his garden. Got to love the 70's eh? :/

I think you should lose your name in the vid, mate. Appreciate you posting this, as it brings back memories of watching TOTP in blissful ignorance of some stars' behaviour (and the DJs) at the time, and for that, thanks...but the watermark overkill? Seriously?

Many 60s and 70s episodes were wiped due to strikes and stuff like that. Only a handful exist these days which is a shame because BBC used to tape one week on video then overwrite it the week after to save costs, thus many episodes being lost for good.
@67Hiwatt11 жыл бұрын
The BBC and the original performers collectively or severally own the copyright to this performance. Just running of a copy from a VHS to digital media does not in anyway whatsoever give you copyright of the material or this version. In fact the law is very clear you have in fact breached the copyright of the BBC and the original performers by doing this. It is up to them however to enforce this and most performers don't bother as they want their material shown, especially when it's this old.

Who uploaded this? I REALLY wish there was some indication of WHO uploaded this, because I REALLY CARE ABOUT THAT. Even if you have to RUIN the video, please just put the uploader's name SOMEWHERE.

it may be rare but why spoil it with that huge watermark? it is quite distracting and spoils the view.

It's so that someone doesn't plagiarise it. Many people think that because something is posted on the internet they can simply copy it for free.

It's not exactly yours to share in the first place.

Well the obvious reasons are this... This is a very very rare clip and it came to my attention that people from other forums would steal this clip and sell it on for a price so that's not very fair so I put a watermark on it.

The simple fact of the matter is that it's not your property to protect for your own profit; it's illegal for you to profit on it to begin with.
@Beligale12 жыл бұрын
I still don't get your point, mate... Nobody would sell a clip that's already on KZbin... What about reposting it with a more discrete watermark, like in your previous videos? Make it watchable, please...

true. society in those days encouraged rockstars to be eccentric. Not his fault. For instance, if we do not forgive him, what about the church and even royal families who took part in slavery, the most cruel act. My ancestors were hunbg, thrown in the sea, beaten, be-heade, etc. you are right.
