Not Rolf Harris. That was a vindictive politically motivated set-up, that is falling apart as time goes by. I haven't looked deeply into the Saville case, it seems legit, but there are certainly lots of reasons to be sceptical of the RH prosecution. Paul Gadd was unfortunately a deeply damaged individual, from his own terrible start in life in notoriously abusive 'care' homes. The abused becomes the abuser etc. Very sad.

At the time I did not realise that his stage suits were too small and that he could not lip sync for toffee. The whole thing at that time was about glam rock and the atmosphere created by the percussion and heavy rock beat. Most of us were at the Disco with just an image in our head of a guy in a wig making us dance. He was a showman.

I have no problem separating art from the artist. Yes, Gary did some very bad things, but that shouldn't decide whether his songs are good or not. And this song is really very very good, indeed. A true classic of the glam rock genre. I choose to remember Gary for the good things he did. The bad stuff? He's paying for it right now. At least he gave us some good tunes before things went wrong.

I was 10 when this was on TV and i loved it, as all my mates did. Don`t blame us, we were just there for the ride. School was good and no social media. But music from the 70`s and 80`s were fantastic, when i was 16 (1979) me and my mate Ben went to a Disco and that was awesome i remember that song "starship strooper" and then i got drunk on vodka, my dad picked us up, Roy was ok, when i got home i ran straight to the toilet and throw up! Great times, but more to come, the late 80`s and 90`s were even better, i found "bi" friends and Weed!! that lasted until 1995 when i moved in to my flat....so its 2019, my mortgage is finished and i have nieces and nephews yet im single, plus im a nice guy...oh well, life goes on.

Please Answer only if you were there. 💗 Before all the personal problems happened with Gary. When we put Glitter, Bowie and Bolan as artists together . Did they have good or bad media coverage? Were they mildly the same in terms of artistry and mindset / personality ? Which out of the three would the British media abuse the most ? And lastly, Which of the three would the fans /girls be screaming for the most? Thank you. Serious questions. Be honest.
