Gary Lange's Amazing Rainbow Fish Collection and Fish Room Tour

Hello World! Today I want to share with you a super epic rainbowfish collection, which even may be the biggest in the world. So many rarities and also stories of even collecting them. Gary is an awesome guy and I thank him for his hospitality and friendship! Hope you and him like it!

Always cool to see a rainbow collection, in Europe we have more hero s like Gary Lange. You could house almost every rainbow species in its own tank, could be the coolest collection ever. I only have two tanks, one community( several rainbows) and one Garylangei species only,really love them. I think the preacox is the nicest one to keep, beautifull and community breeding,always nice to experience baby fish who survive without breeding efforts.

awesome fish room tour. and also a great argument in discussion about the putative lack in color of freshwater fish compared to saltwater fish. especially the rainbows look in shape and color similar to all the new wrasses.

Wow! I've been binging rainbow videos for the last 2 days and now I need to keep some myself haha. I'm in Australia and my regular lfs often have some species but obviously never show much colour so I don't spend a long time watching them. Yeah most rainbows wont show much color until they get older. You will have some silver fish for awhile then one day they will blossom.

I have some pseudomugil furcata rainbows, wondering is it wise to mix other Pseudomugils (Pseudomugil gertrudae) in with them? i.e. Will they/are they able to interbreed?

I ch bin ein IRG niederlande member und hatte erst Herr Gerd Barz besucht in seinem "Rainbowfish-stable, " sehr schones ambiance and fish I have never seen before. Through herr Barz I have my Mgarylangei strain, love them. Next collecting trip will be from Hans Evers with Mike from Imperial tropicals from Florida. It's not just color, they have patterns that are unmatched in the freshwater world. Otherwise a good boisterous fish so you can see all the colors on show

I'm so disappointed that nobody sells the hardyheads!! Those fly speckled hardyheads are the most interesting fish and I want some but figured it's super rare and not for sale by anyone in America!!! Lol another Gary fish that is 1of 1 .... I wonder if he's breeding them and getting those into the hobby!????

36:30 fly-specked hardyhead, Cratero/cephalus stercus/muscarum. Cephalus means head and muscarum means of the fly, the rest you can work out for yourself ;)

Such amazing fish🥹 i have a 55 with 8 preacox rainbows that I've just started breeding. Lost my first batch to fungus/bacteria so we're going to try some methalyne blue and see what happens this time. Definitely looking forward to messing with more after I get this figured out. Around 78-82 I believe but if raising babies he uses heater to raise to 86 for better success. Which I have tested and really does make a difference.

Wish there were more Scientists who are fish keepers on youtube. The C.bleheri are bucket list fish I probably will never see for sale in my lifetime. Or at $50 each and that's a killer if you wanted a half dozen at least. Dragon fish almost the same level.
