I can tell he's not. Check internet. I did. He was so good he had guitars given in honour to him. _"...Later, he was honoured by _*_Gibson and Fender_*_ with several signature model guitars."_ On the other hand, giving Gary the credit he earned is impossible. (Not _one_ of the best, but *The Best.* 🎸🙏

As a guitar player myself, this man was a true genius. I felt really sad when he left us. But even today, we "Still Got The Blues" because of him. GREAT GREAT SONG, BECKS. Well I was one of the people who asked you for a reaction to this Masterpiece. ¿Next one? -Queen - Princes of the Universe -Supertramp - The Logical Song (Live in Paris or Germany)

No one but Gary Moore could make the guitar sound so sad when words failed him the guitar spoke. Glad i got the chance to see him live twice first time he played his hardrock stuff and the second time was the blues. Truly an amazing musician gone but never forgotten.

In my humble opinion the greatest guitarist ever walked on this planet, gone much too soon, but was lucky enough to see him live a few times. There he is unique, because soooo creative, he almost never played a song twice the same way, always added something or took it away, he literally improvised on stage on the spot and never knew what would come. He can check that best with his signature song called “Parisienne Walkways”, which was written by his buddy Phil Lynott (yes, the dude from Thin Lizzy), in 1979 after him hearing Gary playing a few chords in Phil’s flat, and which Gary played until his last days. If you check the song here on the net you will find various versions, from 6 minutes to 12!, and as I said, all are different. My favorite one here is which happened to one of his last performances at the Jazz Festival in Montreaux 2010, an almost 12 minute absolute beauty! From the same festival, but exactly 30 years earlier, so 1990 and therefore the same year as this performance, is a song which is not originally from him, but from Roy Buchanan, and shows EVERYTHING what Gary is about as a guitarist. He made the song his own and shows really everything! The song is “The Messiah will come again”! Try that one out!

greetings and love from Köln/Cologne, Germany.....thank you for this awesome reaction video. and for your detailed thoughts on this song. I've loved Gary since 1985. Gary, and his music, were a great support during my alcohol withdrawal in 2010, and still is. The fact that I have been sober for 13 years is largely due to Gary Moore, Iron Maiden & Bruce Lee. I recommend the song "Out in the Fields" live from his rock era. Thanks again & Stay safe, my dear

Live or studio. That IS the question. I agree with you on Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues. There are others where the studio version was the one. However there are a couple of videos of Supertramp where it looks like they are live in a studio stage. Best versions of - Logical Song - and - Goodbye Stranger. Their - Bloody Well Right - Go with the studio version. The opening keyboard solo is up in the stratosphere. The live version is ah... not quite there. imho

Still waiting for Gary's "Live Blues" to be released on blu-ray. It was recorded in London at The Town And Country Club 2, 11/11/92, but released in 1993. Gary was on fire during that concert & B.B. Even though Gary Moore was best known for his blues songs, he was also a rock n' roller 🤘🤘🔥🔥🎸 His skills on the guitar were phenomenal... Sadly, he also had a problem w/ the booze, and eventually succumbed to a heart attack in 2011. Gary Moore was in a band called Skid Row (not the American band from 1989) in Ireland back in the 1960's w/ Phil Lynott, who formed the legendary band Thin Lizzy... Gary Moore actually recorded 1 Thin Lizzy album ('Black Rose' in 1979)... He debuted his first solo album "Back on the streets' (1978)... but his first commercial success came in 1985, the 5th solo album 'Run for cover' ... it had the hits 'Out in the fields' (co-written w/ Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy) ...and 'Empty rooms' 🔥🔥His 1987 album 'Wild frontier' was a bigger hit in Europe w/ the single - 'Over the hills and far away' (which was later covered by Nightwish) ... On his 1989 album 'After the war'... he got Ozzy Osbourne to sing lead on the track 'Led clones'... 'Still got the blues' (1990) was Gary Moore's biggest record and defined the rest of his career.
