You’re right. United’s defence has been good this season. One of the best in the EPL. At 12 goals conceded, only Liverpool (6) and Newcastle (11) have conceded fewer. Problem for United has been the attack. Only bottom side Southampton (7), third from bottom Palace (10) and Everton (10) have scored fewer.

We are getting a little carried away, folks. Did the same with Ten Hag. I love the club but am a realist. I want Amorim to succeed. I don't expect a top four but do expect to see a consistant style of play, more hard work on the pitch and a devout determination to defend Old Trafford. That's what I want for this season. I think if amorin isn't prepared to change his formation at times to combat the chess board of formations that managers are doing ,he might fall into the trap of tenhag refusing to alter his formations ,which will end up to his downfall also . im really looking forward to amorins 3 4 3 formation if applied properly its going to be exciting.but it will be only an amount of time opposing managers learn how to unlock it

It’s not that straight forward. You’ve got to avoid lumping them all together. Which players do you mean specifically? Bruno, Martinez, Onana, Hojlund… who? When all the players are underperforming even their average levels then it can’t just be them can it. Take most of the team and put them in a top class set sup under a good manager and they’ll be fine.
