Why isn't he in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame already? He hasn't even been nominated. There are few who have had as much influence in electronic music as Gary Numan has had.
@stevewebb71262 жыл бұрын
For a start i wouldn't call his music rock n roll , its not generic music like that .Thats for bands like the Rolling stones etc ,stuff Numan doesn't like .
@davidherber70962 жыл бұрын
@@stevewebb7126 That's total bs. If they can elect bands like Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk or musicians like Dolly Parton or Eminem, what is your 'purist' definition of Rock and Roll? Numan has been influencing others for over 40 years and his contribution to music whether you want to be anal about it and not call it Rock and Roll far outstrips most of those already elected.
@stevewebb71262 жыл бұрын
@@davidherber7096 Unfortunately Numan is not as big as the bands ,or artists you mention ,he has more a cult following of fans ,me being one as well .But in realism he as a fairly small fan base ,so slips under the radar .

I feel so uplifted watching this and ultimately for Gary. To have come full circle and to sing his anthem with his three girls on that stage which was his target for so long after 81, he's to be admired on so many fronts. I've followed him from the start and have to say, unlike so many pop stars from years ago, Gary's sound is even better now than it was in the beginning. He's current again and so deserving of it all.

I was at this concert myself but is anyone going to mention the elephant in the room? I say this rather timidly in truth for fear of being trolled (it was a fantastic gig by the way) but as much as I enjoyed the gig, I was quite staggered that his daughters were quite scantily clad and I thought that cheapened them somehow. I know it's a gig but if I was there mother I'd be screaming "lock up your sons" lol xx

Gary actually filmed in one of the UKs largest if not LARGEST now deserted for nearly 40years in St John's Hospital on the out skirts of my home city of LINCOLN. Even the man and his crew felt uncomfortable not surprisingly having found out in the grounds were the remains of over 12k former patients resting maybe not as peacefully as you could imagine. It was groundbreaking psychiatric treatment at the height of its occupancy but littered with brutality and pain and barbaric treatment of highly mentally ill men, women and children and younger. Hard to believe around the outside of the hospital is a very upmarket housing development and supported elderly apartments.... wonder if he was checking it out for his twilight years nah he'd be to busy getting his "ROCKS OFF" flying highly dangerous aerobatics in his own vintage aircraft.... Rock stars who says they all need therapy after touring.... Gud on ya Gary... long live the ORIGINAL ELECTRONIC GRANDAD OF ALL EPIC KEYBOARDS AND MORE!!!! .... Always welcome anytime in LINCOLN oh and St John's Hospital🏥!!!!
