If you were in heaven and you asked God to play you a bass line...it could well be this. Take a bow, Pino.

Pino Palledino is so amazing on that fretless bass! The dancing in this makes my knees weak 💥

Isn't it just, Amelia. It mesmerizes me. And, are you referring to Gary's dancing or Pino's? I think Pino's doing a nice little shuffle to this as well. You have good taste in music. Greetings from the UK to wherever you are in this world.

Gary Numan worked with two of my all time favourite bass players Mick Karn and Pino Palladino - superb fretless players.

Thank you so much for posting this! I went to the Machine Music Tour (London Leg) and it was awesome. It was a shame that he did not play anything from I, Assassin. So unfair to that record. Great quality. This is by far one of my fav records, can't believe did not go straight to number 1.

Great song from i assassin, must have played this thousands of times over the last 33 years, always loved the trademark strings and Pino's superb bass, love clip too in NYC, driving open top past the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece.

Why the saxophones? They are not in the song.
@replicas112 жыл бұрын
A lot of sax from Gary in those days, they were part of the band so he probably wanted them to be in the vid, even if there was no sax in the song. I have never seen this clip before, great to see.
