Devo was introduced to me by my neighbor who let me borrow his Devo and B52's cassette tapes, I had a new double deck boom box and well the rest is history. It was like nothing else I have ever heard before. I then of course shared with my friends, who told their friends etc..... That was social media of the late 70's early 80's Cassettes were social media. This is still my favorite Devo song, the intro is the best intro to a song ever!

Saw them in Copenhagen 8. august 2023 and they played ‘gut feeling’ as the second last song before they end the gig with ‘beautyfull world’ -Wow! That was fantastic, “crying good” it was🫶🏽❤️. The Hole concert was amaZing!!!!

The album version has this organ+piano+synth I don’t know what , but it’s heavily detuned . When I first heard it I began to notice all the other artists who use heavy defining and manage to get away with it . It’s very important to me these feelings of breaking the mold. Remember back to your childhood, perhaps if your like me, they sat you down in “music” class and said “this is music, blow on this recorder, and we sung the major scale” It’s all programming, all the ufo stuff, if it is actually life forms from another part of the galaxy and not demons/government skunkworks/ nazi bell BS tech, I think it’s why they study us. Music I mean, we are so dedicated to sound . Hell the first thing they likely heard from us was the voyager greeting which included some of our most intricate music. Then when they came in to range they see our planet surround by noise of all types the whole spectrum crowded with noise , and our beautiful planet being orbited by what has to look like garbage to them. Yes.. music is cool.
