That was too funny! Cheers : You are a good craftsman . I too do pipes as well but i carve in soap stone: all the same tech, I have to drill the bowl and passage. That is where, soap will break your hart ! Now you have a piece of gravel ! But a well " seasoned " soap stone pipe is so sweet for it natural (heat sink) cooling. It is also very Fun and relatively Easy to work with and when its polished it just has a glass like shine. You should give it a go. Just keep it wet when your working is.The dust is very fine and not good for yaeh :) Baby powder :) Cheers.
