Gary, I knew when you said that you were going to a wonderful place at the end of the Compo, Clegg and Foggy vlog that you’d be going to Wasdale. My wife is a nurse and one of her patients about 30 years ago told us about it and we’ve bee at least once a year every year since then. I get as excited as you every time I go, it’s just a beautiful place even though I’ve never been lucky enough to see a good sunset but I did once experience it mirror flat which was one of those experiences that will live with me forever. Hi Gary, loved the video and your images as always were stunning. Shooting in the Lakes is very challenging especially as it seems to change from one valley to the next. Wasdale is certainly one of my fav's, I have been there on numerous occasions including yesterday, I discovered a new as I slipped coming down one of the boggy paths managing to ruin a poloriser, still at least it wasn't the camera. I have two questions, did you know that bloke on the bike as you did your opening piece to camera and how do you record your audio? Looking forward to more video's from you.
@GaryGough6 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, sorry about your polarizer. Like you said luckily it wasn't the camera. I simply record the sound using the inbuilt mic on my Canon G7X MKII. I'm starting to vlog on my 1DX and for that, I use an external mic attached to the flash mount on the camera. Hope this helps.

The lakeside is pretty well accessible. There isn't a road up to the lake though. You can park fairly close (40' away) and there are flat bits of grass that will be easy to access if it's not too wet and boggy. To be sure, I would Google Maps the location and look at the street view.
