Lake District National Park. Landscape Photography over 5 Days. In this video, I show not 1 but 36 Images. My best video to date! Part 2 of a 2 part video series.
My very good friend Pete and I embarked on a landscape journey to the Lake District National Park last week. Thie intention was to photograph as many newly discovered (by us) areas and a few classic areas too. I mean, why not!

As you could imagine the weather was very hit and miss throughout the week. It was the end of January so we didn't expect anything different.
I'll offer a full breakdown of where we ventured to on my website. From there you can take a closer look at all the pictures I took too.

We were based just outside of Keswick which is on the northerly border of the Lake District. In fact, the amazing stately home was uniquely sat on a hill that had views north to Scotland, east to Cumbria and south to the Lakes. How's that for location, location, location. We stayed in an amazing cottage on the grounds of the stately home. I'll leave contact info on the site too.
In this video, You'll see me taking pictures on a freezing cold morning. The Jetty was an amazing find. We discovered a waterfall covered in bright green moss. It looked amazing! Bettering that we discovered a rock/cliff that offered some of the best views in the Lakes I have ever seen.
If this wasn't enough, on our way home the sky's just lit up. It' was like the mountain was on fire. One word... WOW!

The colour panoramic shot at the end of this vlog was simply stunning. I loved the way the sunlight kissed the top of the crag on the left and was replicated in the reflection.

Love that Buttermere / Crummock location - known a "Buttock" among those of us on a landscape photo course last year! That tree looked terrific against the dark background. I loved the really moody B&W at Derwentwater too. Another of my fave locations. Your favourite is awesome! Great images as always and it's good to see I'm among many inspired by your work

What's not to like here Gary? The final pano is simply gorgeous. The one that really caught my eye was the B/W stone boat house at 300 mm I think. The boat house & the horizontal water line sitting right on the lower third with those tree reflections were the icing on the cake! The music really added a pleasant dynamic to this video as well & the " how about a kiss " had me rolling in my chair too! Thanks so much, Bill Farr... :-)

I have just come across your channel and I'm slowly binge watching the back catalogue of videos. Great stuff. Loving your work - all of it! The colour version of that last short was my favourite - the perfect reflection of some stunning colours. Good to see someone embracing photography whatever the and time of day. Not everyone can get out at dawn and/or dusk with great light, and you show that there is always a photo to be had
