I love this style of photo Gary, personally I think your last was the best of them. The angle it was taken at, and leading line worked really well. Thanks for another awesome, inspiring video.

I just need to tell you Gary. I have just retired and was a very eager amateur photographer when I was younger. It is your straightforward , entertaining and informative easy style that has made me take up Landscape photography. So thank you. Keep them coming. :)

I absolutely love your style of photography and am grateful that you take the time to provide these videos on KZbin. As much as I would love to become a member, my budget does not allow for the membership expense but as long as I can learn so much from you within these videos I am truly happy. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Gary, definitely liked your final image shot down the beach with the hint of a leading line. This portrayed the depth already a part of the scene and made it more interesting, at least for me. I wondered what a shot down the beach with the line in the sand creating a diagonal line with the minimized sea off to one side.

My sister in law (my husband's sister) and her husband live in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire and we visited them last year. The area reminded me of just a big holiday camp with lots of caravans. I just couldn't find an image there - we only stayed 3 nights though. Got loads in the Yorkshire Dales a few days later though. I am sure you have your failures but every image I have seen you take has been phenomenal.

I’ve been there and taken shots of the tide bell at Happisburgh. Personally I don’t like the bell dead centre I much prefer it on the left or right third and have a lot of negative space one side. But that’s my preference thankfully we are all different otherwise we’d all be out taking the same composition

Another great video Gary, how did you get on with the charger? We visit Mablethorpe fairly regularly, so I will have to take a look at this - normally the kids just want to go to the amusements! Do you have any plans to be at the photography show in March?

The charger is great. It’ll roughly charge 2 batteries from almost empty. I’ll be talking each day at the NiSi stand. Please come and say hi.

Really enjoyed the video, love the wide expanses of coastline. A question if I may, when you show the in camera view, you are obviously level, left to right, but when viewed by the b roll camera, it looks like the camera and lens are tilting upwards? Is this an optical illusion or correct? Thanks 😀
@GaryGough13 күн бұрын
I had to check myself 😁 It's correct, I'm aiming up, placing the bell on the lower third. It's probably just the angle of the camera taking the B-roll, it's quite low. I think that's right :)
@280bunny13 күн бұрын
@GaryGough thank you for that, and taking the time to come back! Looking forward to 'the film!'😀

@charlesfisher21344 күн бұрын
Do you take the meter reading before you put the 10 stop ND on or after? Just got my first ND 🤗 I will watch the other video.
@GaryGough4 күн бұрын
You don't add the ND filter to your camera until after you have run the calculations. Try watching this, it might be easier to understand... kzbin.info/www/bejne/amOsaoJqirGFfbssi=MSX6fei5yNvqTSfp

Great Video Gary. I'm assuming that's a 70-200mm correct? I have the holy trinity and only when I shoot long exposure with the 70-200MM the photos are not tack sharp. That doesn't happen with the 14-24 and my 24-70. I use a sturdy tripod, cable release and mirror up function. What am I doing wrong? TIA
