Bet you were wondering where the coffee ☕ went? When the boss wakes me up at oh-9-un godly-30 in the morning and wants me to get the truck and go... 2 days in a row. Gotta grab loaded trailers when you can during slow season. The bonus historical info with the wrap of the build is my favorite part of the week now. Thanks for the great presentation 👍

Good stuff! At least you won't have all that nonsense with the serials under the wings - trying to get the right decal segment with the right bit of undercarriage door!

That’s a beautiful plane Gary, well built and finished. You did sound like you were enjoying yourself. Are you a pilot Gary? Would it be an idea to include man hours spent building the models and some costs? Lovely video Bob England

I was enjoying myself because I love the Hunter, to my eyes the most beautiful jet ever designed. Camm must have sat back having drawn the initial outline and thought "I have deserved the rest of the day off!" I have had the great pleasure in flying in a T.7 trainer many years ago and it was just a delight. I'm not a pilot myself - I did learn to fly gliders as a youth and have taken the controls (under supervision) of many things since, and I'm confident I could land a 747 having done quite a few hours on a simulator, but otherwise I'm just a huge admirer of those who take to the air for a living, or for fun! I'll think about including some reference to time taken, costs would only be a rough indicator as they vary around the world and I have plenty of kind viewers all over the place!

Hi Gary, that was a excellent build of a very iconic Ehnglish fighter, what's next on the desk? Best regarcs from a Kiwi living in Australia.

Lovely job, Gary! A nice tribute to (in my opinion) one of the most graceful aircraft designs ever seen. Where do you put all these builds…? Best wishes from Wirral.

The builds go in various places - mostly on a very crowded rack of shelves but increasingly wherever there is a flat surface available. The Hunter is the single most beautiful thing ever to fly, in my opinion, simply bred to fly. The lines are impeccable. When Sidney Camm first drew that, I think he must have sat back and thought "I think I've earned the rest of the day off!"

Another 1/48th that needs to be done then I'll see what I can dig up. More variety going forward, that's for certain!

Would have been fun to see - it's what happens when you upset RAF pilots, they make a very public point.

I finnish love the kit and your work in this video , but.... don't show how You paint 😔
@garys_stuff2 жыл бұрын
I will make sure to add more of this in future videos! Most of the plane is airbrushed - I do the bottom first, than mask that off to do the grey of the upper side, then mask off the camouflage pattern for a final coat of green. Most of the additional paint is hand brushed. I think some of the other videos might talk about the paint job a bit better!

A lovely kit of a superb aircraft , Gary . Another thing that i remember about the Hunter , was it's " Blue Note " , which I'm sure was used in the TV show . Thunderbirds . Until recently , we had a Hunter on a Pole in Woking . i believe it was taken somewhere for restoration . Take care , Gary , and have a nice weekend . kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmPPnmx3pamLhdE

I think it ended up as "generic diving fighter" in sound fx all over the place at the time - such a lovely sound.
