What's your biggest take out of this very tactical keynote?
@Carlos--Claveran5 жыл бұрын
Okay so I watched about half of it so far and very valuable info!!.. U ROCK GARY & CREW!.. So I've been (not group texting but) MASS texting people over the past few years Christmas cards W/pictures of my Family saying thank you for your business over the year things of that nature ..not selling but who am I kidding YES Selling ...keeping ME, on the top of your mind is Paramount for Referrals and repeat business.. Now, here is my problem.. I sent a message, and apparently someone reported my number as "spam" ( supposedly) I was told that the carrier did not ban my number from Outgoing text messages.. the FCC must have done it ?. so I called the FCC &asked "what did I do that was wrong, theyre existing customers of mine and I want to know so I don't do it again and so that we're clear ... I got no answer ..😐my phone was blocked FOR 21 Days! (OUTBOUND ONLY) I had to buy another phone that I could text from.. and it was a huge pain in the A$$ so what are your thoughts how do I get around this from being an issue?!.. I completely agree with the open rates and response times I think it's wonderful !!!..but I DO NOT want this to happen again... thank you!

AI is where my focus is and I am totally learning new skills, but not leaving behind what I love doing, its helping people get job, with the help of AI I can eliminate monotonous tasks and get better results, but it takes understanding of technology and coding, so I am teaching my self to code now a days, once product is ready all I will do is use your advice to advertise. Its going to be great, hopefully, I have 2 other AI use case ideas but most likely all projects will start once I am ready. So my take out is understand how attention can work for the growth of your business and ideas.

My biggest take out was - when you market you do a ton of stuff that doesn't have a black and white ROI in 30s and that's how you build something meaningful. I was watching a previous video of yours (not sure which one) and it was like electric paddles to my chest - just create super awesome content and give it away - keep looking for ways to add value to everyone all the time, omfg it's like it unlocked so many ideas in my head and it FEELS right in my heart and it makes me like crazy happy at the same time. After that video, I literally sent a message to a designer who I admire and asked if she would be open to doing a Facebook Live interview with me and sharing her journey. This is totally for her, all about her - It's going to be her platform, I've given her the questions beforehand with complete freedom to make any changes - and she agreed!! And I'm so excited to help her!!!!!!! And after that conversation, I had another idea and another idea and another idea and more things are coming along...It's frigging real and it feels SO GOOD and right - it's like truly thinking about how to add value to someone else creates a freaking flood of ideas!! It's hard to put into words, but I had to say thank you for your videos. It feels like I've discovered the secret of the universe, hahaha!!!! Thank you :)

I watched the whole talk...And of course Gary, you're so inspiring ! The biggest take of this keynote for me, was the whole LinkedIn and podcast theme... I juste don't know what to talk about yet. I'm very interested in renewable energy and looking to build a business in that area, but still looking for something that could work. Thanks Gary, very nice and honest as usual !

Start planning a few mockup businesses. Like they don't even have to be good. 1.Just ask yourself, how can I add value to the world? 2. Then decide who you want your ideal customer to be 3. Pick a name and one or two avenues to build an audience on Do it and you'll have a better idea than 80% of people!

I first knew about you on KZbin, wich is the format i consume you more, but lately (because of time issue) i hear your podcast in my dead time while im driving home or whatever. So i can learn one or two valuable things while im not using my time doing my thing. Thanks for sharing bro.

It's fascinating how some people are *STILL* underestimating the power of social media. We live in an age where we can literally target customers who like Kanye West, baby foxes, and divorced parents if we wanted to. Think about that for a second. And this is only the beginning. 🔥

Tower records when out of business because they did not understand the business of the internet and how it would impact their business. 2. There are no advertizments on this talk......yet.Lol. One full hour of unerrupted talk. Thank you. Stay true to yourself Vee!

men, gary is talking THE SAME OLD THING forever (since the piece of art CRUSH IT)... ppl are laughing, smiling, being motivated.... BUT DOING NOTHING WITH PURE GOLD! the joke will be forever the same, the only THING that will change is the delivery (paper,radio,tv, http, apps, 4dnet, intramindnet , etc etc) it`s almost unbelievable how normall ppl wont never get it.

I love this, as I do with all your content! I’m a singer songwriter, producer, and learning marketing for that, however I’ve found that it’s super fun also and a creative art in its self. I was curious if you (even fellow audience members) have any suggestions for using linked in/ text sales in music marketing. Any links to videos would be greatly appreciated!
@briannagervickas43245 жыл бұрын
Find out exactly what the people you are trying to sell to want, and give it to them. Find out why they want it too. Then write articles based on that!
@jamesvoorheesmusic5 жыл бұрын
Brianna Gervickas thanks! That makes sense, I’ve been thinking that I’ll do a free signed EP, Free link to a Skype concert or something like that, and a lifetime discount on merch from my online store if they opted in to my email list OR text if I went that route. (they would pay shipping and handling which would actually cover the production cost that goes into making cds.) I know with Facebook marketing I can target specific audiences that will like my music, and I fee like this idea would be offering quite a bit and do what Gary speaks about consistently, while also building traffic on my merch store/website due to the sign up being there, and for those that opt in would be offered a discount on a tee shirt before checking out for the shipping and handling payment. Thoughts?
@briannagervickas43245 жыл бұрын
@@jamesvoorheesmusic Not sure exactly what kind of music you're creating. But if you really wanna add value, then maybe approach people who make videos or ads and offer your music to use in their content!! This is a great way to meet a need, which also gets you out there too.

This hit home. Your truck driver analogy. I was in a business that for 20 years I knew would eventually be taken over by technology, yet I did nothing to prepare myself for. I have recently found a "hobby" that I love to do and am currently making a little money doing. I'm trying my hardest to make it my career. But, I find myself in that category of only doing it to make money, not branding myself. I look forward to watching, listening, and reading what you have to say. I do have a question. You mentioned the 8 platforms. Can you elaborate as to what they are? Thanks so much Gary.

Humans either use utility or entertainment Who can tell the best story that brings the most value? Storie's come in 2 forms: true entertainment and true utility but you have to do this for the audience and not yourself Zero Friction for consumptions: people consume Audio Video Image Written, post all of these Get entitlement out of my system
