I'm, now, nearly 8 yrs. sober. Ten yrs ago I would have told myself to pick my ass up and get going. In the time since I quit drinking, I've gone back to school, got my diploma, went to college, got a degree in drafting and design technology and have started my own business designing houses. My one wish is that I would have started this long ago. I waited til my 40s to get going, but I haven't looked back. I thought I was working hard until I found you. Now, I'm working harder than I ever have-still not as hard as you Gary. Keep puttin' it down, I'll keep pickin' it up. Much love.

Answers to QOTD 1. Drop out of school, its not worth it. Start making money, don't spend a dime to sit in a classroom and hear theorists ramble about concepts & frameworks that are no longer applicable. 2. Travel at least once a year for educational reasons. Take a short course in another country to learn about their culture, economy, sociology and psychology. This, more than a classroom/degree, will teach you more about how to succeed as a people first entrepreneur than anything else. (aside from experience). 3. Get used to saying no. Just because your religion insists on being a good person doesn't mean you become a doormat. 4. Exit any personal or professional relationship that doesn't give you 10x ROI. 5. Cut out all emotionally abusive members, even blood relatives. Focus on being happy first. Money can come later.

#QOTD: 10 years ago I was 17, a high school junior entering senior year. My advice to that guy would be: "Every decision that you know is right but everyone around you thinks is crazy is the right decision. Once you've taken the time to thoroughly understand something and make a decision, believe in that decision and have the courage to go for it 110%. Almost every one of those decisions turn out to be correct. The only problem is you should have done it sooner and with more conviction" In fact, this is the exact advice I used today, and am going to be using a lot over the next year. The time to go all in on my strengths is yesterday, and I made a giant leap in that direction today, thanks to Mr. GV himself.

I would tell my 14 year old self to stay pure at heart, no matter what the world throws at you. And to keep being a positive change for others, no matter how far the stretch is. Also to stay away and create distance from negative influences, and to be humbled by the work at all times. To fill life with love in every available capacity and put one foot in front of the other regardless of the challenges ahead. That when the day comes where the world might not be what he thought it was, that he'll still make the right decisions in the best interest of others.

It seems to have worked, and right now I'm thrilled about the projects I'm about to start working on.

#QOTD "You're not living the life you know you're capable of. You can work harder, you're focusing too much on the negative aspects of your life to see the opportunities in front of you, and you are investing your time in the wrong people. Double down, focus and grow your creative and technical abilities... and jump on this KZbin thing whether your friends want to help you or not. It's going to matter. Oh and here are some stocks we should buy...." But in all seriousness, I would probably just go back in time and mentor myself in a master apprentice relationship and stay in the past timeline and not comeback, just to make sure it all plays out right, and at the same time take advantage of my foreknowledge and live it up a bit.

One thing I think they could also do is create content about the experience customers will receive at their location versus competitors.
