The most important thing is to compare yourself ONLY to who you were yesterday. Gary is right, it doesn’t just happen over night. I’ve been posting travel videos about every country. My goal is to make a video about every country in the world and perhaps inspire people along the way. Less than 100 people watch my videos. Does it mean i suck ? No. I’m grateful to have 70 views, it’s better than having 0. What matters is you did your best. Your life is your race. Started TikTok 6 days ago because of Gary’s advice posting videos about my passion, MMA. There’s people out there ready to watch your content if you put it out, I’m growing steadily but more importantly I’m starting to understand how the different platforms can all be working for your social media presence simultaneously. It doesn’t take a huge amount, just consistent effort and posting, not crazy amounts.

@@TomorrowsKingdom good to hear bro 😁 I’ve got just over 1,000 followers in my first week but a lot of that was down to one or two videos that did pretty well with 60/70k views. Gary’s advice on TikTok is THE TRUTH. I found one client on there who commissioned a piece from me. She posted her reaction opening it - and it blew up. I duetted by blind reaction to her (and teared up bc I was happy she liked it lol). I got at least 30+ inquiries from that video series in 3 days! Still trying to catch up and call everyone from it. Then I posted a video of me making bread and got 1M views.

Another great post! Their energy is very interesting. Why do people try to “maximize”. Do or do not, there is no try. I just spent the entire morning focusing on the 10 clients that I actually have. It’s also better to confidently NOT do TikTok than it is to just dip your toe. THERE’S ONLY ONE GARY!!!!

I looked at the videos on these people’s channel. The big problem I have with KZbinrs like them is they’re talking about how to be successful, despite not being successful in anything yet. Gary can talk about how to be successful... because he’s reached success on his own merit, has the money and successful business to back it up!! If I’m looking for advice I always steer clear of these sort of channels as I don’t believe they have the answers I need, their channels show no proof of them being successful at something, and I’m not talking about their view count, but generic videos boasting about faked success (especially financial) and false promises to ‘teach’ you how to be ‘successful’ like them. I feel like these people(and many like them) think these vague ‘how to be successful/rich’ channels are the best and easiest way to become successful/rich, even tho they’re neither of those things yet. It’s like if someone was a wannabe novelist making videos about how to get published by a big company, become a best seller, etc... except they’ve never had a book published before and thusly have no true information to give their audience (and deep down their hope is to make money via these ‘how to’ videos, that’s their money making ‘scheme’) What would be better is to show the journey of your PURSUIT for success, it’s more genuine, it’s relatable and people are interested in watching people go through the process of trying to achieve similar goals and they can learn something from your trials and errors, there’s value in that. But trying to be a financial guru or similar when you simply don’t have any success in this area isn’t going to get you far when channels like Gary Vee’s exist as competition. Gone are the days where people did those seminars you had to pay hundreds of dollars to attend or watch whilst the person claims to have the secret to success but in truth, their money and success come from scamming people like you out of their money with false promises of ‘how to be rich’ and laughing all the way to the bank. With free content online, this model doesn’t work anymore, nor does it provide value, the actual key to successful content. People’s desire to be rich/a famous influencer ASAP honestly trips them up, you can’t put the cart before the horse. Be honest in the knowledge you can offer an audience, show them there’s value in watching your content and you’re not simply here to make money off of every video click. We all need to deflate our ego at times, it will easily misguide you. One thing that attracts so many people to Gary is the fact he’s humble in his success and it’s clear he was like that from the beginning (before any success), we all need to remember to be more like him in that regard.

Gaining confidence and skills with a small audience is better than growing a large audience too soon. Why rush the process if your aren't ready. If someone is insecure and is afraid of what people will think of their content I would encourage them to take their time. There's no need to rush the process.
