Thank you! I just got a Tiger 1200 and was on half a tank and realized I don’t know how to open the tank, 2 years later but you saved me!

Oh great info. Mine fucked up yesterday as i left the screen on for the first time at the petrol station. Had a bastart closing it and refueling later on. That answers my question.

Two things... I can open my gas cap with the screen on. When I press up to turn on the screen from the off position, like if I sat at the pump talking on the phone for a while, the gas cap cap can be opened immediately as the screen flashes Triumph. I can fuel the bike while the screen is showing whatever info I choose. Also, I had a Kawasaki GPZ1100 back in '83 and it would start in neutral without the clutch being pulled in. I had an incident once or twice when the neutral light was on, but when I went to start the bike, it jumped into gear and lurched. Fortunately I did not drop the bike, but it was a scary moment. Try pressing up to activate your screen and then you should be able to open the gas cap without having to activate the fuel pump and ignition circuits. P.S. I ride with a tank bag and after shutting down at the gas pump, it gives me enough time to fetch the wallet from the bag, disconnect a couple of connectors from the rear of the bag and then open the fuel cap. Thanks for the video. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future. I hope you enjoy your Speed Triple as much as I am enjoying mine.

That is very interesting that your panel opens with the display not fully off. Hmm? Typical machinery, they have a mind of their own. I did several hours of filming snd it was fine on the GoPro but the file simply isn’t there on my computer. So, I got a brand new sd card and I will be starting fresh, no mishaps, and some good material. I am enlisting the help of my best friend to help me get even more snd better shots taken from several angles. Hopefully the quality will increase. Thanks for support.

@@91scalloped If I use the SD card directly to my laptop, every other file is playable. Very strange electronics indeed. PS Did you realize that by pressing and holding the T on the key fob it can be deactivated. A quick press shows the status, green for go, red for no go.

@@scottsspeedtriplechannel no, good sir, I did not know this. I was just bamboozled to learn I lost, let me reword, simply couldn’t use the footage I had on the platform I needed. How stupid is that. I had some rather beautiful wheelies, some great cruising footage snd so forth. Again, I shan’t be beaten.

I can open my tank as soon as I have the power on. No need to wait for black screen or anything.

I’m running the Racefit with the cat removed and the server program used to fix the computer codes that follow removing the cats.

I just bought mine and gas cap isnt closing. Dealer is closed already. How do i close this
@91scalloped Жыл бұрын
Just really push the cap down hard till you hear the snapping noise. If it just wont snap closed, take the Allen screws out around the cap and lift the gas lid out and manually push the plastic latch closed. I never missed a key opened gas cap as much as owning the 1200 rs.

Do they have fix for this?i mean the easiest way without thrusting or forcing it? Hard to close fk sequence or something

I believe the right mechanics do. I don’t know if there is a program. I got lies about mine. I was told this is normal procedure and crap like that but I now operate the gas tank normally, no formula and same as the rest of the bike’s problems.

I’ll put up a new video of just how easy my gas cap opens now. I also just got it serviced for the 500 miles but also because the fuel pressure light and check engine kept coming on. Wished I hadn’t settled during the chip epidemic and got a v4 or v2 street fighter. Or just the gotten the v2 panigale.

@@91scalloped thanks man. Let me share my experience I had ridden a v2 having no fuel gauge a bummer. Also vibrates to much at 2k rpm gauge rattling like crazy all the way to the handlebar. but once revving smoothens out. I guess cruiser guys will love it. Best to go v4 directly at idle sounds like a twin and will perform better. Overall This bike way smoother just reliability a question mark
@91scalloped2 жыл бұрын
Being a v4s owner, I have a love for these bikes. Hadn’t been a v2 in the area I’m in to ride. I don’t do and don’t like sloppy craftsmanship. The 959 and early v2 were too problematic. When I bought triumph, I bought a name and not a bike. My bad.
