These are some of the common issues that new Speed Triple owners are experiencing. Most of the other issues I see are software related and Triumph just released an update, so I will be getting that soon and reporting back.

Great video! I had the oil leak issue too and yes, it almost hit my back tire. Luckily I caught it before it caused issues. Triumph needs to address this...it's a major safety issue if other bikes are having this issue.

There is no excuse for under torqued bolts at the dealership level. Techs should have inspected and marked every bolt after removing it from the crate.
@jacksteel72962 жыл бұрын
@@alexmorgan3435 Maybe it’s just common practice around here at Triumph/Ducati/MvAgusta/ Aprilia/BMW dealers. If a Dealership is charging me an uncrate fee and assembly, my expectation is that at a bare minimum it’s road worthy and not losing parts on the way home 😂

Nothing like buying a brand new bike then having to get the wrenches and lock wire out to prevent the new bike from falling to bits. You would think as the cost of these toys keeps going up that the quality control would also improve. Obviously not.

Careful with the HF oil filters or any filter that has that nut on the end. Most race orgs and trackday will not allow them as they break off and leak oil everywhere. For 15 years of racing, I've just run a hose clamp with safety wire over the oil filter and run the safety wire to a bolt to make sure it doesn't move. Some bikes like the ZX10R you can rest the hose clamp against a tab that is on the engine and the oil filter cannot turn until it's removed.
