I have a 2007 V Star 1300 with a severely seized lock. After using multiple lubes to no avail my key actually got stuck in cap. Its been that way for a week. New cap arrived from ebay today and I stumble on this vid. I go outside and push down and now cap opens and key is out. I couldn't believe it. Thanks so much!

This was intuitive for me when I got my new Ninja 250 back in 2008. Of course, they sold it to me with an almost empty tank so I had to go right to the gas station next door. Unfortunately, I marred the ring trying to get the dispenser to work while also trying to stop the stream of water coming from my sleeve from shooting straight into the tank. Yeah: As soon as I pulled out of the dealer the bottom dropped out of a huge thunderstorm. I had just bought a new rain suit from the dealer but it was somehow full of water anyway which ran straight into the tank from my sleeve when I first opened it.

Even the fuel doors with screws/bolts around the outside perimeter usually have another screw inside that you can only access with the door open. Ninja 250, 300, and 400 are like this with a single screw that you’d otherwise have to drill out.

At the moment no I'm not considering getting a new bike. Now if Kawasaki did some major changes to the 650 I might consider taking a hard look at it. But as far as any other bike, not interested. With the array of bikes we have we can ride a different bike making it feel new again especially if we haven't ridden it in a while LOL!
