Lori Davis! Happy weekend! Aw, I hear you haha. I've been unsuccessfully attempting to cook over a campfire since my very first camping trip, awwwww, and this stove took me a very long time to figure out since the directions are confusing. But, yippie for French toast and hot chocolate! I did have a great time camping, thank you 🏕️ I'll see you again at the next video, and I hope you have the best days imaginable until then.

Just arrived and set mine up 1 hr ago. Terrible printed instructions for propane...figured it out but realized incase I messed up I should ck tube. And here u are. Propane seemed less hot than butane for my test meal of ramen soup . Will try again. Tip I learned from other butane stove i have. 😮Not to leave in vehicle between trips as enamel top and aluminum butane area rusts

Gosh, thank goodness for KZbin when instructions are bad 😃 Ah, that's interesting about your heat test, and that's great that you've had other stoves in the past. Oh, no about the canisters rusting 🙈 That's such a wonderful tip; thank you so much for sharing. I'm so happy that you found me, and I hope that the rest of your camping/travel adventure goes well. Hi, Willow & Willow's dad! Aw, thank you so much! I've really enjoyed my journey of learning how to camp-cook, i.e., a skill assessment is still TBD haha. I'll definitely share some recipes... once I learn some recipes hehe. Right now, I've mastered only French Toast. I'm currently so lost without a steady stream of solar energy for the fridge. My whole solar system is self-installed, so it's still in the trial and error phase. Right now, there's errors haha. P.S. If you would like and are comfortable with sharing, I'd love to know your name or nickname, etc. 😄

Also. So I don't lose caps off propane or butane lid if they are black , I take small BRIGHT piece duct tape and put a piece on top and inside so easy to find if falls on ground etc. I also save one of each lid in cooking gear for same reason.

Mine isn't lighting with propane for some reason. I can see the ignition spark but there are no flames and no propane smell. It appears to be some blockage at the point where inside knob connects in-place of the butane canister.

Hi! It's so great to hear from you; thank you for taking the time to write. Oh, no! What a bummer! I haven't encountered this problem before with the butane, but I'm sure it happens to the best. This exact stove that I have is a replacement; the first one did the same thing as yours, but it was the butane that would spark without lighting. It was quite frustrating! I returned that one for the one I have now, and thankfully, it has worked perfectly every time. I'm sorry that yours might be faulty., and I'd love to hear how you get it resolved 🙂 Mandi

Hi i was just having the same problem with mine. Just got it a couple days ago and went to try it with propane and couldn’t get it to work at first. I took the stove and propane canister back in the house to let it warm up , then took it back outside to attach the propane and test again and it ignited multiple times in a row. It’s about 20 degrees here so if it’s cold where you’re at, that may be the issue.
@justaway_of_the_samurai9 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for the info. I will likely have to reach out to the seller and get it replaced then.
@justaway_of_the_samurai9 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I do not think that is the same issue as mine. Although it was just as cold here as you mentioned, I have brought both the stove and the canister outside from inside each time.
@GoMandiMartin9 күн бұрын
@@hunterrobinson3489 Hi, Hunter! It's so nice to see you! Ohhhh, that's some cold weather! I practically turn into ice at around 63F, so I don't think I've tried out my stove in weather colder than that. That's so interesting, but it makes sense. I had a small propane heater, and it worked in 40F temps, but the outside of the canister was very quickly covered over with tiny ice crystals from the rapid temperature difference. That was freaky when you aren't expecting it 😃 Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I hope to see you again here very soon. Mandi

That small opening on propane cylinders is a safety vent...it has nothing to do with releasing trapped air in the tank...there is no air in the tank, just propane...you probably felt it coming out of the threaded portion, not when you installed it, but when you depressurized the system and possibly if you tightened the cylinder too slowly...I did not see clearly, but there may also be a vent on the regulator. Speaking of which...a pro tip fpor your next video...give the parts the names they are known as, vs "this piece here goes into this piece, and this thing goes over that part"...if someone knows what is is called and they have an issue such as it breaks, they can look competent going into Ace hardware and ask for the exact item.

Nice review...but in actuality, pulling the lock lever pushes the can nozzle into the orifice causing the nozzle to open and allow fuel to enter the stove. I would like to know if their claim (if this is the same stove as the trail boss) of 12,000 btu vs most of the other brands of 7600/8000 are valid. I should say that since I am very technically oriented the initial statement you made about being tricky to convert seemed a little overboard. I always try to remember that almost anything can be put together and taken apart since its made of things that were put together already or taken apart!!!
@GoMandiMartin13 күн бұрын
Hello again, John. It's nice to hear from you again. Thank you for your additional feedback. That's a great question about the BTUs how amazing that you are technically orientated. I'm sure your skills come in handy all the time especially while out in nature. Thank you again for your thoughts.
